I have traveled 2 weeks out of every month for the last 3 years, and this the ONLY time i have ever checked in and out of a hotel in the same day. Thank god for the travel agency's guarantee, because this place was absolutely uninhabitable. it is under HEAVY construction (only one small area open), the staff (including the security guard that i asked where the door was, as the entire front of the hotel is closed off) is incredibly rude, the rooms are dingy and dirty enough that i literally did not want to sleep in the bed, pitifully old and amenity free (the tv in my king bed suite was 10 inches), and most of all HORRIBLY OVERPRICED. if i had been staying at a chain quality motel for 40 or 50 bucks a night this would have been expected and acceptable - but as i was hiding my electronics around the room i realized that there was no reason i should be paying this much money for a room that is dirty, depressing and unsafe. even when i'm travelling for work i like to enjoy or relax in a hotel room. that was just not possible here. i would never, ever stay at this hotel again, and would not put up a stranger or my least favorite relative in this roachtrap. if you're not worried about a nice room, just save yourself half the money and stay in a motel 6 or the hotel blue downtown. it will no doubt be cleaner. or do what i did, and spend the extra 20 bucks and check into the marriott right down the street on luisiana - the difference was night and day!

Great staff, but hotel could use update

I like this hotel for location, staff and comfortable beds. But it definitely needs an update, as it's been awhile. It's probably below the Sheraton standard for appearances, but certainly not on staff helpfulness or comfort.

This hotel is very near a lot of restaurants, malls and shops. Everything is close for someone looking for a good place to stop on a trip. If you have a pet, it's great, as Sheratons' are always a wonderful situation for a pet. They don't charge a fee, they bring a pet bed and bowl, and generally treat you well.

The staff was extremely accommodating on the times I've been. I switched from another hotel once and they kept room service open late so I could eat a real meal after a long night on the road. That's the kind of service that makes up for a little less than stellar decor.

I think this hotel could be great or not so great, depending upon what you value. If decor is most important, go elsewhere. If staff and service is what floats your boat, you'll be pleased.

I had a suite, it was large, clean and confortable. From the moment I walked in the door the staff made me feel at home. The hotel's location was great, easy access to to public trans, shopping and eating. My trip was for business but I stayed a few extra days for the balloon fest. All the info I needed was provided for by the staff. They were well trained and very helpful. The Sheraton ABQ is a GREAT value.

The rooms were very rundown. The curtains were actually falling apart and the lamps were flickering on and off due to loose plugs in the wall. For as much money as we spent we expected the rooms to be a little better kept.

The hotel staff was quite pleasant. The restaurant food was excellent. The refrigerator iced up and froze things that should not have been frozen. I had to keep insulin in the fridge and I was concerned about the icing. The bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. The television remote did not function and it needed to be replaced.

After reviewing some of the other

After reviewing some of the other comments posted, we became a little nervous about staying at the Sheraton, but upon arrival we were very pleased with the condition of the hotel and our room. When we arrived, the staff was very pleasant and most helpful. The lobby of the hotel was highly polished and quite elegant. The hallway did show some signs of age, but nothing extreme. Our room was very clean and there were nice amenities. We ordered room service one morning. The food and service was wonderful. We were quite surprised at how fast the meal arrived. My wife and I are frequent travelers and stay in various hotel chains. We are just normal folks, but our stay at the Sheraton was a delightful experience. We highly recommend this hotel and appreciate the opportunity to express our opinion.

The condition of the hotel is horrible. The condition of the carpet was so bad I did not want to take off my shoes. Plus, my friends truck was stolen out of the parking lot at noon.

The room we stayed in had a pull out

The room we stayed in had a pull out couch that wouldn't pull out. We had to call, and two guys had to pull the bed out together. The fan / air conditioner did not work, and in NM, you need an AC. Worst of all, the tub would not drain right. For a 3 star hotel, this was a horrible stay. Never again.
