I opened the door to my room and couldn't believe what I saw. The walls were stained, lights didn't work, and the bathroom was disgusting. The tub and the toilet were stained and it gets worse. My husband pulled the blankets off the bed and a cigarette butt was on the bed. When he oped the dresser draw roaches scattered. We requested a refund and because we pulled the comforters off they would not refund our $50. I took pictures of the room to contact the BBB. Filthy conditions: carpet dirty and threadbare, roaches galore, and the roof leaks. Staff is surly and lacking in customer-service and appreciation. The owner is actually on property once a year - maybe. And has no desire to improve the property. That’s when I found the Senator Inn, with their theme rooms. I called, made reservations based on what the receptionist told me over the phone. When I got there it was a different story all together. The room was dirty, run down, and there was no parking.
