GREAT ESCAPE FORM SOUTH FLORIDA

I have met the Omally's that run the quaint motel,Very nice respectful couple.
It is very clean and quite. I found the location to be right in the heart of all the attractions.
It's like being on Las Olas in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, but private.

If you are looking for an affordable not too extravagant place to stay, then check this one out. They are close to the beach, but the rooms are in need of updating. This is not the honeymoon suite.

best value to visit friends in Naples

I liked the spacious room, cleanliness, location of the motel and the room rates. My only dislike was the hours of checkin/out. A pool was available and my friend from upstate florida and the midwest like to congregate here in late winter/early spring.

Needs more Maintenance

We stayed at the Seashell for a few nights at the end of September. It was quaint but dissapointing overall. We were due to go back after our visit to the Keys, but changed our plans and got a better deal at a different motel up the road.

The main problems were due to a lack of maintenance - such as no hot water, ineffective shower, very noisy air-con unit, debris all round the pool and so on. We got no maid service Sunday - just towels dropped on the bed so we had to make up the room and take out the trash ourselves. There's no breakfast, yet for a few bucks more you can get a different motel that provides that free and more besides.

The folks were freindly enough, but they are not always there. It would have been nice to have the front desk staffed longer in case of any problems. We didn't bother complaining given that we were on vacation and only there a few nights. Perhaps we should have though.

Old Florida, Quaint Comfort

I have stayed here 3 times to work at the local hospital. I found the Sea Shell to be a clean safe quaint choice for economical accomidations, with family values and old Florida charm. The location is perfect. Just minutes to good and at some places, great food. The pool is very private and well maintained, as are the grounds. There is lots to see and enjoy in Naples and surrounding areas. My personal favorite is the five minute drive to watch the dolphins swim as the sun sets from the pier. UNBEATABLE value in this area. You will need a cell phone and a wireless connection to keep in touch with the outside world if you have to.

The husband and wife management team are so helpful and friendly. The pool is a great feature and although it's on the main route 41 it feels secluded. Going back for our 5th visit this time with the new family member. Hopefully she's going to love it too.
