This hotel was outstanding! Although this is rated as only 2 stars on some sites, this hotel should have at least a 3-star rating. It is located in a great neighborhood, it offers FREE parking, the rooms are very spacious and equipped with a flat screen TV, a mini fridge, a coffee maker and a microwave too (upon request). There was a spacious closet area and spacious bathroom. They also have some of the most comfortable beds that I ever slept on! I was also impressed with how quiet my room was. I felt like I was the only one in the hotel during my entire stay because it was that quiet when I was in my room. The only downside that I found was the lack of water pressure in the shower and the inability to control the temperature in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was perfect! They have menus and coupons available for many of the nearby restaurants that either deliver to the hotel or are in walking distance.

Excellent Location and Beautiful Hotel

Located at the top of the Glover Park neighborhood in Washington, the Savoy Suites is steps away from great budget restaurants (Rocklands is the best BBQ in DC in my book, Kavanaugh's Pizza Pub, etc.). Also nearby is a Whole Foods and a local park. A bus stop in front of the hotel takes visitors quickly down to Georgetown on the 30 line or up Wisconsin about 10 minutes to the Red Line Metro Stop. The neighborhood has a great after work life, and is busy into the night. My parents stay here whenever visiting and have always had a good time, I highly recommend.

Nothing. The garage.“I am very disappointed with everything. It is actually not a suite, no living room, no dining table. You have to cook just beside your bed! The hotel garage is scary, too narrow and crowded. No way to turn your car back if it is full, and they just don't tell you! I got my car scratched in their garage, and tried to call them, but was told the manager only works on Wednesdays! This is the worst hotel I ever lived.”

Nothing.Everything.“The hotel does not have adequate parking for its patrons. The staff is rude and very un-helpful. They triple charged me not once but twice.”

Friendly staff. Not near metro.“No coffee machine in room! Parking, while free, is very limited and packed tightly: you run the danger of having your car damaged. Shuttle bus to metro only runs once an hour. taxi to metro is $6-7. Would only recommend if you were doing business within a few blocks.”

Affordable hotel in a nice neighborhood!

May 2008: I stayed at the Savoy Suites Hotel for a little over a week on business. I found the hotel to be charming and the service friendly. The hotel offers all guests free garage parking and free wireless internet. It is in a nice neighborhood and walking distance to Georgetown, The National Cathedral and the US Navel Observatory. The views from my guest room were amazing! They have these great big windows and you can see the Washington Monument and the US Capitol from your room! The food in the restaurant was great! Very tasty. The only drawback is that they don't have 24 hour room service. Oh! They also give you free access to the Washington Sports Club. This was a nice touch than those small gyms you find in typical hotels. Overall it was a great stay and very nicely priced. I would return in a heartbeat!

Located in a wonderful neighborhood,

Located in a wonderful neighborhood, very helpful staff, accommodated special requests, free parking.Nothing.“This was a lovely hotel with some character, located in the Adams Morgan area of George town. The staff was extremely accommodating to our special requests at booking, for early check-in and a larger room with gorgeous city views. The room was well appointed, clean, and was 1/3 the price of the very same sized room our friends were staying in at the Marriott Ward man Park. Speaking of price, the hotel included free parking, underground. Both of these hotels are rated 4-star. My only suggestion would be to have the coffee pot in the room at check-in and not have to call down to request it. Car service to the airport was available and shuttle service was free to the Metro. It doesn't get better then that.”

The picture makes the hotel look better

The picture makes the hotel look better than it is! They have did nothing but lie the whole time! From the beginning to the end of the trip. They told me they would not charge me to hold my hotel room they lied they charge me $200 just to hold it, they told us we would get some free stuff for breakfast lie they charge 2 people $33 dollars and nothing fancy! Then at the end of the hotel they told me they would take the $200 off since I paid $200 and 49 with my credit card wrong! They didn't do nothing until I called and complained. I have been to many hotels in WV and they are better than this hotel any day! I will never ever sleep here again! If you can't build a hotel based on trust why heck would you stay there? The only thing that was good about this hotel was the bed and the room itself. That it! What a pity. My teacher also told us that he will never sleep there again either. It was not worth our money or our time!

After showing up to our hotel, selected

After showing up to our hotel, selected due to it's ratings and proximity to my next day's activities, I learned that I was being moved to a different hotel several miles away since other travelers needed the room. directions were provided to the other hotel. The other hotel was supposedly new and comprable. This was not the case. There was very little parking, the room was very small, the hotel had very few amenities unlike the hotel I had selected. No other compensation was provided. Travel agency staff did not provide much solice but offerred a $25 discount on our next trip. We have not received this discount yet.
