It is off the beaten path (close to Old Town) but access is very easy from Interstate 40. We found the room spacious, clean and comfortable. We have been gone from home going on 11 weeks and this was the best nights sleep we had. The owners of the Sandia Peak Inn are very nice, helpful and hard working. We wish we had more time to visit with them. We will always try to stay at the Sandia Peak Inn when we travel to New Mexico in the future. The staff was great and helped with anything we needed. Due to our shift work the house keeping changed the hours when they would clean our room. I had no problems with leaveing my police gear in the room. Kay and Terry were great! The owner was fantastic and the rooms clean and comfortable. If you needed anything you just had to ask. The owner was generous enough to let us use the breakfast/conference room for meals. The microwave didn't work. Complimentary breakfast? only if u eat it while being watched on a monitor. I went to go get a cup of coffee in the morning & was told by the owner that I had to drink it in the breakfast room. I told her that I was just getting a cup of coffee & was told I couldn't take it out. No food is to leave their site & they didn't want anyone eating in the room. Also if u are in the pool or walking around expect the owner (nosey) to constantly ask what your room number is. They redid the beds everyday but never once threw the trash I had to leave it out side the door. We got the honeymoon room because of the large jacuzzi bath, and it really was soothing after 6-9 hours of hard dance practice. Great room, great people, good location near Old Town.
