Nice Hotel in Little Rock - under 50

This was my second stay in Little Rock AR, but my first at the Rodeway Inn Hotel. (My first Little Rock, AR experience was at another hotel nearby and I probably wouldn't go back there.) I would definitely stay at the Rodeway Inn again. From all of the reviews I have read, it seems difficult to find a well kept hotel room.

Very clean, nicely decorated, quiet room, fairly new furnishings, comfy king size bed, clean and recently upgraded bathrooms. The bed sheets had surely been washed, I didn't find one hair on them! They have an awesome (budget priced of what I Paid) free continental breakfast: waffles, 2 types of cereals and breads, Banana Fruit,Orange juice, Coffee and milk. They provide pool towels for guests. Friendly staff. This hotel has a great location: 5 minutes from Downtown, many bars and clubs.

I have issues with cleanliness and often cannot sleep soundly if I think the place is dirty or not bug free. I can honestly say that this is the one of few budget priced hotels ($52.31 including tax) that I slept well in.

Affordable Hotel in Little rock AR

I stayed at beautiful Rodeway Inn & Suites hotel in Little Rock Arkansas while we were visiting President Clinton Library, Little Rock AR Down Town Convention Center and University of Arkansas. This hotel was just few minutes away from Peabody, Double Tree, and Legacy Hotels. All those hotels were expansive and we were looking for affordable alternative near I-40/I440. Although we found this hotel on I-30 Exit 135, close to Down Town & Little Rock Airport. Little Rock had all different type of hotels, but when we were looking for the rooms under $50, Rodeway Inn was the best Hotel in Little Rock by far. We were in need to visit Arkansas Baptist College and University of Arkansas Little Rock for our children's admission process. While I was checking these places on local.yahoo.com on computer located at Business Center, front Desk Personal help us with Mapquest printout within a minute. Staff was very friendly, and I must tell you our room was clean & comfortable. As the matter affect this hotel had more amenities than any other hotels we stayed so far. We found complimentary water bottles & basket full of munchies and mints on our arrival. We had no prior reservation; we just saw the hotels outside appearance and decided to stay with them.

Barely a step above Motel 6

pros: close to interstateThere were definitely a few signs that we should have steered clear of this sad attempt at a hotel. The Bus Entrance sign was made up of two different signs. When we arrived in our room, the cable did not work on our television. The remote control was also barely operable. There were stains on the walls. The toilet was malfunctioning and ran water all night long. When my guest and I went to search for something that had rolled under the bed, we found all sorts of treasures; several spools of thread, wadded up pieces of paper, a spare coffee-pot, and just plain filth. The comforter on the bed had a large red stain. The bath tub would not drain properly, and the hotel provided no hair conditioner for their guests. The alarm had not been checked because it went off at 8:00 AM in the morning disrupting our sleep after a long day of driving. On top of all of this, the hotel charged my credit card TWICE for one night. Which is even more upsetting because we paid cash. When confronted the following day regarding these charges, the receptionist was incredibly rude. I had to call twice to get them to fax me my receipt. Two days later and I am still living to the nightmare of staying at this hotel! Do not stay here!

The linens were not clean

Gross, we reserved online because of a good price and good reviews but when we got there it seemed to be sleezy. We rented two rooms, both seemed neat and tidy until my wife pulled back the covers on her bed and there were pubic hairs, several of them on the sheets. She almost threw up. The manager was terrible, didn't even offer an apology of any kind, as obviously this goes on frequently, but he switched the room with another and my wife inspected the room and although there weren't any gross indications of an unclean room, she decided to leave and stay elsewhere which cost almost twice as much. My room was ok, but in general the condition of this facility is run down. I would never consider staying there again under any circumstances. When my wife left, I went to talk to the manager about a refund on one of the rooms, and the night manager who had just come on duty refused to do anything for me, telling me I would have to talk to the manager in the morning. When I spoke to the manager in the morning he refused to refund me my cost of the one room, because I didn't bring it to his attention immediately. I have decided to refute all of the charges with my credit card company, including the charges for my room as well because of the way we were treated, and I have filed a complaint with the Rodeway people about this location. Gross, stay away!

Not what we expected

I chose this hotel on reviews I had read. However, we had a bad experience. The room was not a bad room, which is why I rated it okay. But when we went in the bathroom and found used soap in the tub and hair in the drain, that turned us off. We had no coffee or cups in our room.

To top it off though, my friend I was with, had bought a new goose down pillow, and when we got back to the room on the second day, the pillow was gone. This pillow was a $30.00 pillow. When she talked to the hotel desk clerk about it, he went and looked in the laundry and brought back her pillow case; which was distinct because it was white and green, but not her pillow. He then came back later with a pillow that was not hers. The next day before leaving, the pillow was still not found. She went to talk to him and he basically insinuated that she was lying despite the fact that he had found her pillow case in the laundry. She asked for money back equal the worth of the pillow or a free night, etc, but he would do nothing to make up for the pillow being gone. She is going to contact the headquarters and let them know, and hopefully something will be done about it.

We will definitely not be going back to this hotel.

Adorable and affordable accommodations

Our team stayed here twice. This place is home away from home for us. They have spacious rooms and lots of amenities. Easy access from I-30 yet the surrounding is kind of secluded. Very quite place. Their staff is adorable. They have complimentary water bottles, sodas, snacks and morning breakfast. What one could ask for more, and the rates are just $47.

One of Little Rock's best, undoubtably

I love this hotel. This is our third time stay with my co-worker for business. Our room was very comfortable, larger than the most hotels I have stayed in and affordable.

They have improved their amenities each time we visit. Wow, now they have surprised us with complimentary in-room water bottles, sodas, mints, and munchies. I just don't understand how they can afford it.

Their parking lot is always full at night. I have never had any problems. Their staff has been courteous and polite.

Excellent service and hospitality

We were happy with the quality, value, and location of this hotel.

I spent $47 plus tax, and reserved my room thru Expedia. They have comfortable beds and Cable TV with HBO and lots of other channels. The last time I stayed in a Marriott, y room had only 14 channels. My room even had complimentary water bottles, mint, soft drinks, and munchies. I was very pleased.

I checked in late night, and little snack is all I was looking for. The staff was very friendly, and loves to help you out.

A very nice hotel to stay in

I was attending a meeting and on my budget. I was very surprised at how friendly and helpful the staff was. It’s absolutely a very nice place. The next morning, the hotel shuttle driver dropped me at the Convention Center since I flew to LNR and no transportation of my own. As soon as I went to the center, the lady at the desk knew why I was there. Even at the meeting everybody was just helpful with each other. If my company asked me to attend the seminar in this city again, I will just be the first volunteer to go to the city of Little Rock. At night, I went to the river market area, and I had dinner at a very friendly restaurant. The hotel was very clean and it’s the friendliest city I have ever visited.
