Convenient parking.Restaurant served

Convenient parking.Restaurant served poor food that was overcooked. I would not stay here again. The hotel had a "tired" look and the service was poor. Unfriendly front desk and no one to assist with bags or show us to the room. Concierge desk was always vacant. Disappointing.

Close proximity to parking.Room temperature would not cool down because of A/C temperature gage restricted. Room was nice, but not much security on ground floor. had to sleep with A/C on and slider locked. some rooms have street noise as mine did. w bit of a walk to downtown palm springs.

Room was very clean!Check in staff was non-professional. There is a disconnect at this hotel with the quality of experience and the quality of the check in personnel at the front desk. They were not rude but they were distracted, perhaps tired and seemed very unmotivated to be welcoming and helpful. It felt like they couldn't wait to leave for the day.

Nothing. This hotel was old and was not kept up, this was not a resort, not even close. This hotel is very old and run down. I have no idea how you could rate this hotel a resort. I will never stay their again.

Pay Phone Rip-Off

Tried to make a call to San Diego from the pay phone in the lobby, but it wouldn't connect. Informed by the phone company operator that she thought the hotel had disenambled this public facility from making long-distance calls at all.

So resorted to calling our friend from the room and asking her to call us back.
The words 'Please call us back'; 'OK' cost $2.69 a time.

Complained to the hotel receptionist who agreed that a number of guests had been upset that they couldn't use the pay phone as they wanted. Agreed that at minimum there should be a notice by the phone telling people, so that guests don't waste their time even trying.

Also, broken cistern and hand basin in the room.

Overall an agreeable hotel, but clearly one that has seen better days. Small wonder the celebrities don't patronise it any longer - maybe it was the phone charges!

Great Place

This is a great place to stay. If you like a beautiful pool and great hot tub, you'll love this place. I had read some reviews about the beds being small and uncomfortable, but I found them very comfortable and slept well. I would stay at the Riviera again with pleasure on my next trip to the desert.

Nice stay

The grounds were very well kept up. The restaurant on site was awesome. The front desk was nice. The only problem I noticed was the lack of hot water pressure. That may not seem like a big deal, but when you are on business and need to get up at 4:00 AM you need that hot water to wake you up. The stay was good and would recommend it. Oh and don't be shocked at the additional $8.00 resort fee????

Palm Springs Riviera Resort

We stayed in a standard room with two double beds. The room was equipped with a refrigerator (in the closet), a 25" TV and free wireless internet access (which was actually a good thing). The air conditioning unit was very noisy and disturbing during the night. All in all the room condition and ammenities were average (i.e. they were nothing that you could not find in another decent hotel). We have yet to stay in any of their suites, which more than likely would be more pleasant.

Now the good points about this hotel was the fact that they have an 18 hole putting green, tennis and basketball courts, two swimming pools, a bar, an experesso cafe, and a fitness center. These attractions were much more than we could take in over a weekend. There are citrus fruit trees surrounding the complex, which guest are free to pick. We found that to be nice as well.

As far as price goes, the longer you stay, the cheaper the rates, so if you decide to stay here, make sure it's for about 3 or 4 nights. You seem to get a better rate then.

Very relaxing, quiet.Nothing. The most

Very relaxing, quiet.Nothing. The most relaxing old fashioned charming hotel ever, loved it here, really enjoyed the whole stay, not far to drive to get to the shops, and so peaceful.. A real get away. Not as smart as the hotels down the road in Palm Dessert, but nothing can beat the charming relaxed atmosphere at this hotel. A very special place, we went back and back.
