River setting is nice, however, is right on main street - a little noisy.Hard beds! Is located further off 1-5 than expected which was a little inconvenient. Needs updating!

Great Hotel, with beautiful and relaxing views of the river. Comfortable bed and newly renovated rooms.
This is a great getaway spot for relaxing and keeping close to the action of the Jet Boats and other sites.

Although the rooms need updating/remodeling, the service we got was great. Our room was nice and cool in the incredible heat; the pool was clean; and the Hellgate Jet Boats boarded right in front of our room on the river. We liked the central location, friendly staff, and the setting. Staff even helped us find a clinic for our daughter who got sick. We'll come back.

We loved our stay

We loved it! The staff was so friendly and the view was the best. We stayed at the Riverside Inn in their west section and the room was spotless. They had new carpet and drapes, and the pool area (although it was in the parking lot) was charming and clean.

Location to shopping and restaurants

Location to shopping and restaurants. The room was dirty and run down, not worth the price. The Riverside has the potential to be a great place to stay. It is in an awesome location, one of a kind, in Grants Pass. Unfortunately, the management does not value cleanliness or maintenance. The rooms are dirty ( carpet was stained and worn out), the furnishings were old and worn. The grounds could be beautiful but were not kept up and were, in fact, very dirty. The "continental breakfast" had a limited selection.

Wonderful location!

I grew up in town and had always wanted to stay at the Riverside Inn. When I came back for a high school reunion, I finally did! The desk service was friendly for check in and also the next morning. The room wasn't perfect, it was a bit older and not the most modern up-to-date looking place, but everything was spotlessly clean, and having a balcony overlooking the river made it worth it.

Check-in was slow and the desk agents were young and inexperienced. Everything about the facility was run down, needed paint and/or repair. The carpet in our room was filthy. Our friends had a rooms with a broken sceen doors. The walls were paper thin. The pool area had not seen any maintenance in ages and the restroom which served the pool area was out of order. I would not return to this hotel.

I loved the new place

The Riverside Inn has built a new lodge to their old building and it's so cute. I loved the biscuits and gravy in the morning, what a nice touch. I had the best nights sleep ever on their new pillow top beds and the view of the river was great. I would send my friends.
The service was friendly and they were very helpful with getting around town.

I wouldn't stay here, myself. Having worked there, I have seen what goes on behind the scenes, and it is not the most impressive place. It is rather dirty, not very well kept at all, and the management cares more about getting the job done and doing it cheap than they care about the guests, whom are responsibly for keeping them in business.

It has a beautiful view of the river, but one of the buildings is from the late 1940s, and has seen little work. The rooms are small and obviously outdated. The other building is newer, but other than its riverside views, offers nothing special.

It is an okay hotel, but it doesn't live up to the hype.

this place has a nice location

well we waited forever like 20minutes to check in front desk people were cranky and did not seem to know what there were doing..room was way over priced paid $130 for a suite the only thing nice was the goose down comforter and the view of the river the toilets barely flushed .no water pressure..running toilet had to lift the top off toilet and jangle chain and room had connecting door,to me a connecting room in a suite seems kinda dumb(a regular room is fine more for familys not suites) we could hear a dog next door thru the connecting door cry all night long the rooms had been recently redone which were nice/ok..but they didn't redo the decades old yellowish ceiling...and when i went to check out {which is across the street and talked with the front desk person and asked them if this was a nice town to live in ..he laughed and said there was no jobs in this town or money and that he only makes $7.00hr (i found that quite interesting when the room was $130 a night..can you say profit)maybe i'm just to picky or spoiled as i live in las vegas ..i stayed for a week in grants pass and found the best western inn at the rogue was quite nice and matched there $70room rate
