Being with the Dept. of Defense, my family & I have travelled & lived all over the world. When we relocated to the Davenport area, we stayed at the Residence Inn for about 2 months until we purchased a home - with 3(!) little mutts that my son had rescued (BEFORE he left for college!!). The hotel is very clean with a wide range of breakfast foods - coffee & snacks are available 24/7. The staff is the friendliest & most helpful of anywhere I've ever been - we were on a first name basis with these guys. They have a social hour on weeknights with beer & food - pizza, wings, tacos or a cookout on the grill. They even have fresh baked cookies at the front desk! When our son came from college to visit us on a couple of weekends, they simply brought us extra linens - no problems with paying extra or "too many people" in the room. Our dogs were even the guests of the day once, with a certificate & a goodie bag! A very homey establishment - the manager himself could often be seen cooking! They are spacious and comfortable. The service at the front guest was bery nice. They had a super bowl party the last time I stayed there. They always had something nice to eat during the 5-7 pm hours. The internet is wireless which I do not like. I always had trouble making a connection from my laptop.
