I liked the kitchen and office desk

I liked the kitchen and office desk feature. The hotel is out of date and due for renovations. The staff was very friendly which made my stay more pleasant. The fact that the hotel's location is not visible from the main road is a disadvantage. In future would suggest design and location be the top two focuses.

Kitchen.NA. I would not recommend this hotel. They have a $50 fee for pets, fail to meet minimum cleanliness requirements and failed to respond to several requests for emergency cleanup.

Awesome! 2008 will be my year at the Residence Inn

I had to travel to Columbia for yet another business trip and usually stay at another hotel, but they were sold out so I tried the Residence Inn. It was located right off the highway, but was the most quiet hotel I have ever stayed in, had a super large studio and a very comfortable bed. The towels and sheets were luxurious! The staff was extraordinary, especially the gal at the front desk and although I was expecting a breakfast, I admit I was surprised by the evening fare. It was so generous that I did not have to go out for dinner. My company keeps cutting the expense budget so this was a pleasant surprise. I am looking forward for the pool to be open in April and coming here again for the rest of this year. I felt like I was at home, but with added luxuries!

Awesome! My home away from home in 2008!

Great staff with an awesome attitude! I normally stay at another outfit down the street, but they were sold out and I was referred by my travel department to the Residence Inn. I have to say, the rooms were large, clean AND QUIET. My bed was pure luxury. I was expecting a breakfast buffet, but the evening social included ample food and drink and such a lovely atmosphere outside on the patio that I actually met other guests and had a wonderful time. I will be going back to Columbia every other week for the next four months and I don't want to stay anywhere else.

The location was great. The service was good and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen lacked equipment, there were roaches in the room and the laundry room was dirty. This particular hotel was nowhere near the quality of the Residence Inn hotels in Herndon and Tysons Corner, Virginia. I was sorry I chose this Residence Inn hotel in South Carolina. I would go back to the hotels in Virginia anytime but I would select another hotel in South Carolina.
