He Booked a large group that had music by the pool (20 feet from my two rooms), until WHENEVER they wanted because they BOOKED 60 rooms, if I did not like it I could check out. That is pretty difficult to do in Savannah on a Friday

Savannah is full of VERY expensive hotels, especially in the historic district. Staying on Abercorn St. at a place like the Clubhouse is a decent option. You can get a shuttle into town. The rooms are fair in size and decor. The breakfast is huge.

Seasons Guest ...

I've been staying at the Clubhouse Inn & Suites since 2004. The hotel has spiraled into a vat of nastiness, both rooms and personal. It's been under renovation for over 3 three years and now is in the hands of new owners. They placed a hold on my AMEX for the room, but I left early due to roaches being in my room. Further, when I arrived the room was not ready and the desk clerks treated me as though I was imposing on them. However, the holds remained on my card for two and half weeks. No one returned my calls with regards to the issues. Do not stay at this hotel. It's not worth the discount. The halls smell, the rooms had hair on the vanity. The carpets are flithy. The pool area is overrun with lizards too. Again, not worth it.

After reading the reviews, we were actually afraid of what we might encounter and honestly, we were prepared for the worst. Thankfully, we didn't have anything to worry about. As we stepped into the lobby to checkin, we found the hotel to be very nice and clean. The girl at the front desk was very pleasant and efficient. We were happy to see that you needed your keycard to get into the hotel and that the corridors were interior. The lobby and surrounding area was very comfortable and welcoming. Once in the room, we found it to be spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large as well. Our room had a sliding glass door that led us outside to the pool. It was very nice. The beds were a little soft and bouncy, but still very comfortable. Some people may actually prefer that kind of mattress.
Everyone remarks on the breakfast buffet because it IS worth mentioning. It was amazing!
Overall, our stay was wonderful and we were very pleased with everything. Oh yeah, and one more thing............most inexpensive hotels these days only give you soap and shampoo. The Clubhouse Inn furnished soap, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash and lotion just like the high end hotels. I do recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here again.

My boyfriend and I started going to Savannah 6 years ago, and the Clubhouse Inn has been the only place we've stayed. We love the location because it's not far from River Street or Tybee Island which is a big draw for us. We're also in close proximity to the shopping centers and some good places to eat. The staff has always been great with us, and the hospitality reception in the evenings is just wonderful. There could be a little thorough cleaning in the rooms as we did find articles of clothing and some other items left behind from previous guests, but nothing was gross or disgusting. This is our hotel of choice whenever we visit Savannah!!!

When we arrived they could not find our reservations. We reserved 2 double beds but they "bumped" us up to a suite. Two of the girls had to sleep on the sofa bed which was very incomfortable. The hair dryer did not work, call the front desk , she said that it would be about 2 hours before we could get another one. Not enough light in the room. Had a space for light over the kitchette no light was there. Breakfast was the only thing that was good about this place.
