The free breakfast always had oatmeal - my favorite. I used their wifi - also free, fitness room, airport shuttle - really a lot included for what I paid. Everyone was super friendly. Some of the furniture needs updated, but I think they are doing that. They offer an excellent breakfast buffet for $5.95 or you can partake of the continental breakfast for free. They also offer an excellent dinner menu; reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. They also offer a shuttle to and from the airport. Book this hotel. But you might not have a room when you get there. The desk help told me they did not have the 2 queen bed reservation for my family even though it was booked and paid for in advance. When I threw a fit, they said I could have a room with one queen bed (for 4 people!). I threw another fit and they said I could have a room with one King bed. I threw a third fit and they said I could have a room with one King bed and sleeper sofa...in a smoking room. My daughter has asthma, not ideal. But I had to take it because on New Year's Day other hotels were totally booked. I don't think I should have to fight for a room I've paid for in advance. Also, cops were crawling all over a lot across the street. In the morning there were cops inside the hotel looking for someone! Rooms are dirty with old furniture and bedspreads, etc. Location is in bad nieghborhood. Diamonds Casino (attached) is very poor, old machines. Lots of dirty ash trays. Lots of questionable locals hanging out sitting and watching people. Does not make you feel comfortable. Several times saw one or two men speak with a clean-up person, then all go to the rest room for about two minutes and return... Was nearly a bar fight new years eve, when several security people had to separate and escort out individual, who returned and had to be led out again. Never felt comfortable and never had any slot machines pay out. Cook cannot make crispy fried potatoes. Each day were soggy, thawed frozen, heated then held in steamer or such so they were not fit to eat. We complained but each day the same... Never saw an elevator open and two pit bulls come at me before here. Seems many people bring full size dogs along and stay in the rooms with them here. They never even mentioned this to us on check-in. We are sensitive to pet dander and seems like high likelyhood of run-in with humans or other dogs.
