We won't be back.

When we arrived, we had originally booked the two full bed room. We were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded to the two queen room on the east side of the building (Important because afternoons in Tempe are HOT). Anyway, the cooler did not work. The TV remote would not work. The bathroom was dirty. It was 110 outside and we had just driven down from Flagstaff.

The manager tried to help, I will give that, however the cooler would still not work and the TV never did. I will tell you I discovered the cable had literally been pulled apart.

So, the manager moved us to the room we had originally requested. This room was on the west side of the building and the cooler barely worked. The room did not get cool until two in the morning. We left the cooler on the next day and it still became almost unbareable in the afternoon.

Then there were the other little things; ice machine could not keep up with the heat and demand of the five guests in the hotel. The pool was dirty, there is a charge for extra towels for the pool, the morning waffle buffett, there was no syrup. The front desk had no replacment towels when I wanted them exchanged the next day without room service. Then they could not find toilet paper....

This morning the syrup was there for the waffles, but the juice was hot, the coffee cold and there was still not enough ice.

At any given moment, there was only one person at the desk and I think I saw housekeeping once. If you needed anything they had to lock the front door to get it for you.

Oh and the manager explained that the hotel was under renovation and that was why the tv's were not working right. Nothing on line ever mentioned renovation. Also, about the tv's, the schedule on the tv was not what was actually on as it was off by two hours.

The carpets turned my feet filthy, my husband's and daughter's socks brown and it was just not a good experience.

We travel to Tempe to visit family and attend plays at ASU, we will defintely find another place to stay.

A great motel, they were remoldeling some rooms but the noise was a minimum. The staff was friendly and helpful!

Booked here as part of a online travel

Booked here as part of a online travel website package. Everything was very clean and well cared for. Looked like it may have been remodeled in the not so distant past. The hotel served our needs perfectly. We did not spend much, if any, downtime at the hotel. We were gone all day every day watching college baseball games or visiting friends. If you are looking for someplace to hang out at with the family, this may not be for you. The pool looked nice, but it's small. There is very little to see, eat, or do right by the hotel. On the other hand, it's close to the 101 and 202 so you can get anywhere in the Valley pretty quickly. Overall, no complaints, we got exactly what we were expecting for the price.

The rooms were filthy, we were first

The rooms were filthy, we were first put into a room that hadn't even been cleaned, then put into a second room that wasn't as nice but had been 'cleaned'? There was mud on the bathroom floor, hair and scum in the bathtub, the carpet was sticky, The location of this hotel isn't the best, with poor lighting in the east parking lot, it isn't close to much of anything; though Apache Blvd being a main road helped to get places, and the highways not far off. Our room was 'cleaned' everyday but they wouldn't leave clean glasses--we had to ask for them, as they had thrown the dirty ones away. We found a pair of shoes under the bed--so abviously no one had cleaned there since who knows when?? Most staff was friendly, especially the day and late at night, the evening staff weren't that friendly--acted like they hated their jobs. I would not stay here again and on my next trip to Arizona won't stay in Tempe--we're going back north to the Scottsdale, and north Phoenix area. We tried something different on this trip and learned a valuable lesson. This hotel is overpriced for what it is.

If you are going to stay in Phoenix

If you are going to stay in Phoenix stay anywhere, but here. As soon as we walked in we knew it would be a bad experience. The carpet was filthy and it turned our feet and socks black. The shower had an old bandade stuck to the tile, and the ceiling in the bathroom was cracked and had a lot of bad patch work done. The remote to the T.V didn't work, and the pool was as big as a baby pool. It was as cold as ice too! The beds were very uncomfortable, and we checked out early. The area was not very safe feeling either, it just seemed like a run down area in Tempe. You can hear people talking right outside your door like they were in the room with you. We will never be back there again, and I hope I saved you from a bad experience by writing this.

Horrible Experience

I arrived and was horrified at the location - which you cannot see in the pictures. The neighboring business (a storage unit facility) had razorwire across the top of the dividing wall. The room was gross and looked unkept. There was no phonebook in the room and the internet service didn't work. I was unaware, based on the pictures, that this was a motel where the doors are outside and accessible to anyone. There was a mouse-sized crevice at the bottom and daylight came through. I checked out four hours after checking in and I never unpacked my suitcase. As a single female, I did not feel safe staying here. I would not recommend this hotel.

The Ramada is a very nice [property, center to everything that we wanted to go to. There is a brand new shopping center that we walked to, took about ten minutes to walk. They have so many stores, we spent the whole day over there. I would recommend it to my friends and family anyday.

We stayed here with our family in 3

We stayed here with our family in 3 different rooms over the weekend. The rooms smell and the carpets were filthy. I notified the manager. He wrote back to me...however, he thught he was writing to someone else.
We spent over $*. total for the weekend, just in room rates.
None of the restaurants were nearly as "available" as they say in the ads. They are there...but with major construction going on thye are all very difficult to find. We only found 1 place for breakfast and it was 3 miles away.
I didn't feel like the management even cared about the problems I brought to their attention.
