Cleanliness, free internet and breakfast. The noise from neighbors and drunks late nght. Ok hotel but I am picky when it comes to noise. Although I expect some of it, I definitely don't expect 48 hours of noise during all hours of the night. Not acceptable. Staff tried to fix the problem, but how can you. The property is shaped in a way where you can't tell where the noise is coming from.

Just a roof over the head near the beach.Internet was slow, power outlet did not work, and room carpet remained wet. Hotel/Motel ok for people that really want a 1 star hotel.

Decent location on Pacific Coast

Decent location on Pacific Coast Highway.Bedbug infestation - the single worst hotel experience of my life. One word: Bedbugs! The room was completely infested with bedbugs, which bit my mother on the arm and neck. I squished about two dozen of them, which were all over the drapes and one of the beds, one bug even visible on the pillow by my mother's head. Some of them were absolutely huge, and a few of them made red smears when we squished them, which indicates they had been feeding on us. The lady who runs this motel was nice and apologetic, but only complimented us for one night, the night we were up all night due to the insect horrors (my parents are elderly, and it was simply too late for them to pack up and move in the middle of the night), the other 3 nights my parents spent unaware of the swarm of bugs in our room. That's not good enough. This was frightening. My dad has a heart condition, and I didn't want to upset him, which is the only reason I didn't raise my voice at the management as we were leaving. Upon inspection, the curtains in that room were literally covered with over 100 dead bugs, no exaggeration. There is some serious neglect going on there. Be warned. In forty years, this was the single worst hotel/motel experience of my life.

The "motel" is located in a nicer area, close to the beaches and not too far from the airport. The room was average. My king roon had an oversized bathroom, but no frills. The property is older, has no pool, and the hot tub is a waste of time. LA is a GREAT destination, had a lot of fun, next time I will spend a bit more $$ to enjoy a nicer hotel though.

It seemed fine to me...

pros: convenient, nice location, affordableI'm pretty basic when it comes to a hotel as I never plan on spending my entire vacation IN the hotel room. All I need is a bed to sleep in and I'm happy. My friend and I recently stayed here at the end of May. We got this hotel because it was affordable, in a nice location and the only bad reviews we had seen we thought were rather dull.

The perks:
It's affordable.
It's in a nice area.
It's right off a main road so it's easy to find.

The things we read in reviews:

Continental Breakfast - A number of people have complained about how "basic" their breakfast is. How it's nothing more than bagels and cream cheese, donuts, muffins, dry cereal, coffee, tea, water, and juice. Well HELLO... that's what a continental breakfast is!

Typically a continental breakfast is - A light breakfast that usually consists of a breadstuff (such as toast, croissants, pastries, etc.) and coffee, tea or other liquid. The continental breakfast is the antithesis of the hearty English breakfast. READ: The OPPOSITE of a hearty English breakfast.

If you're expecting a big breakfast for free you'll want to find another hotel or go out and eat breakfast. But if you're just looking for the basics and something free, the continental breakfast serves for this purpose.

Scary Location - I don't know about this one. We didn't have any problems while we were there. I would say the worst part about this hotel is the garage. It's free underground parking and it's a bit dark. I would just not suggest going down there alone. Besides the parking, we found nothing scary about this place.

and finally -

Loud/Noise - Again, no idea about this one. We kept commenting on how ridiculously quiet it was there.

All in all the hotel is decent. I wouldn't give it 5 stars just because I don't give 5 stars often... but I would recommend it for people who aren't planning on living in their hotel while they are on vacation.

The motel itself was pretty good but

The motel itself was pretty good but the people staying on either side of us were very loud. Finally, on the 3rd night of being woken up by them at all hours of the morning, we finally called the front desk and asked to have them go inside and they did take care of that asap but the people were out there again the next night at 1am. The thing is, the office is right there so they know when people are outside being loud. They should take it upon themselves to ask the people to keep the noise down. All in all, it was a good experience but I probably wouldn't stay there again.

We stayed here for one night with our 2 girls while visiting California...the room was very clean but small...the staff was great and really helpful...the hotel was in a very good location, it was really close to the pier...the only real cons the hotel had was the parking...you have to park in an underground basement which is was really creepy and looked unsafe...but it was a good place to stay for the money...and we would stay there again....

We stayed at the Limited with 3

We stayed at the Limited with 3 children. Upon first arriving, I thought that maybe I had booked the wrong hotel for us. This is a motel, not a hotel. There is VERY limited parking, unless you go to the garage, which is a little creepy. Once we got in our room, everything was fine. The room was clean, and comfortable, and very close to the beach, just like we had wanted. It was about a 5 minute walk to the Pier, the beach, and a handful of other resteraunts. I read the reviews of this hotel prior to booking, and I was a little reluctant to book here, but it was very nice.

We booked this through Travel agency -

We booked this through Travel agency - and it appeared to have a decent rating. The hotel staff was friendly and they have an OK breakfast. This is a motel. The entry into the motel is very small and actually unsafe, since 1 car in front of the registration area blocks the entrance, however you cannot see that until you are trying to turn off Pacific Coast Highway - which is not a slow moving highway. Internet access was a challenge, getting keys that worked was a challenge, and on the second night of our stay, the hotel allowed a very loud party to continue, even after I called, from 1:00 - 4:00am...stating to me, "They just won't listen". This was a party that was taking place between several rooms, in the commons area and up and down the stairs and sidewalks. While I was on the phone asking if the situation was going to be taken care of, he was arguing with someone about whether he had rooms available or not. The rooms stunk, were cramped and not very clean. Upon checkout, there was a simple acknowledgement and apology - nothing more. When I told them that things like that make people not want to stay at their hotel, he urged me to eat breakfast.
