There are places to eat all around the area. There is a Bar right across the street and the track is close as well. There was always something to do.(The casinos are right there are well.) I actually took my family here and my kids had a great time as well. The bed cover and the ceiling had dark stains. The beds were fairly uncomfortable. The lights and the outlets were not convenient. The staff was helpful when extra pillows were requested. The bathtub and the shower were the best and newest feature with a nice new curtain that bowed out and a wonderful shower massage gadget. The breakfast was ok if you got there early. It is easy to get to the location and there is plenty of close in parking. The hallway and the room were noisy as there was not much insulation to keep the hall noise down and you could hear most everything that went on in adjoining rooms. We did finally get checked in, but it did not instill a feeling of confidence. The atmosphere, in general left us with a feeling of insecurity. We later learned there was no management or maintenance employees on the premesis at night or on the weekend (we stayed thur.-sunday). Bathroom facilities worked, but not at optimum. 1st day, room was not made up. Housekeeping placed a do not disturb sign on our door and left a back of towels at the door. We talked to the desk clerk (this was Friday night) and she said she would leave a message for the manager. We followed up on Saturday Morning and that desk clerk informed us there would the manager would not be in until Monday(after we would be gone) Again this just added to the feeling of insecurity. The rest of the motel was littered with trash. The halls, elevator and lobby needed to be cleaned up.
