The rooms were clean, the staff were excellent. We had a group of 13 plus two pets staying at this Ramada from Friday till Monday. They accommodated all of us, our vehicles, trailers and motorcycles all with no problems. We had a blast. The carpet was not dirty and there were NO bugs! The bed was clean and so was the bathroom....and I am VERY picky about bathrooms! We had a fireplace, refrigerator, coffee pot, iron, ironing board, and hair dryer. The furniture is out dated and the hardware on the door is old, but really, you're not there to admire the furniture! It is very convenient to everything, we walked everywhere we went! The lobby was clean, but the lady we dealt with at check-out could have been a little friendlier. The only complaint I have is that the indoor pool could have more lighting at night! But the indoor pool was very clean and nice and so were the bathrooms at the pool! To sum this all up...I was kind of worried about staying here because half reviews were bad and half were good. But I have to say I was pleased and I will stay again if we go back!! I have stayed in several different rooms. NEVER has my room been dirty nor have I seen any signs of bugs. We always have a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The front desk staff has always been extremely nice and has done everything to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Granted it is somewhat dated but what do people expect with an older structure? It's worth it to me to be able to park my car and never have to move it again until we leave. Hair all over the place, bobbypins from previous guest and I found a cockroach crawling around as I was getting ready the next morning. Thank god I didnt see it the night before because I would have been back to Charlotte ASAP. We put a glass over top of it so that the housekeeping and staff would be aware of the problems. Not only did it have bugs but very run down. I went back and I ask her for refund several time , she again told me no. I even called the customer service 800 number tying to get a refund. We never stayed there we went down to Greystone Lodge . I would have slept in my car before staying at that filthy filthy place.
