The hotel is in a great location, walking distance within many great restaurants and bars in the downtown Hollywood art deco district. It is an older property but has been refurbished. Our room was clean and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. No complaints at all. The overnight parking fee was only $3.95 per night and it is self-park. Very convienient to US Route 1 and I-95. If you need to be in the Hollywood area I definitely recommend this hotel, especially for the online travel website price.

The staff was very professional and helpful. The room was not something to brag about. The bathroom was unsanitary, I guest housekeeping forgot to clean the toilet. I didn't notice the bad cord on the iron and when I used it. The iron, iron cover and ironing board caught on fire. What a scare. Thankful the staff acted immediately to resolve the problem. I do recommend this hotel because of its location and staff but it won't be my first choice in the future.

Horrible Customer Service

My girlfriend and I went in to get an idea of the rates and environment. As one of the previous reviewers wrote, the front desk lady was less than helpful. With my personal experience and taking into account the other reviews, I'm going to look elsewhere and I advise you to do the same.

No idea.A lady who worked in the breakfast room was very stubborn.“We came in breakfast room, the door was already kept opened, she ask us to show the room key, then she say something about the door, we return to the door to find out what wrong, but we couldn't find what she need. At last we understood that she ordered us to close the door for her, we apologized that we couldn't understand because her pronunciation was not corrected.”

This location was great because we had to hit 95 for everything and we were able to do just that. The room was kept clean and the daily breakfast was a plus, my only concern please offer a better variety when it comes to breaksfast, after the third day were were a little tired of eating the same thing though - Ms. E was so pleasant when sitting us at our favorite location.

Very nice hotel! Clean and quiet. The hotel is not in a prime location. I felt safe my entire stay although the surrounding areas are not the best.“This was a very nice hotel. It was much nicer than I expected. I would stay there again and I would also recommend it to a friend. I lived in Hollywood most of my life so I know the area very well. The surrounding areas are not the best areas. However, they do have a security guard in the parking lot, and you do need a room key to enter the building from any of the side entrances.”

Good bathroom decor with very adequate accessories such as hair dryer and coffee and tea. The shower was excellent.Though there was a table the room was missing a desk and light for use with a laptop.“The hotel was located in the old part of Hollywood. Rooms opened out on to the swimming pool and decks with bougainvillea plants and umbrella tables/chairs. Staff were helpful and pleasant. There was a good continental breakfast with plenty of choices. An evening bar and restaurant was not available.”

First the bad news: We were charged $3

First the bad news: We were charged $3.95 per night to park in the parking garage of our own hotel. Shouldn't that be included? Then, on the last day, when we asked for a late checkout at 1:30 instead of 11:00 so that we could fit in a snorkeling trip before our plane, we were told that we could either store all of our stuff in the bellman's closet or pay $50 for an extra half-day. We had to race back up to the room and frantically stuff everything into our suitcases and rouse my wife's mother who wasn't feeling good and race downstairs to the car then drive like maniacs to make the boat. Again, an opportunity for them to provide a little SERVICE which doesn't cost them anything, but they chose not to. The room wasn't dirty, but it wasn't as clean as it could be, either (dust on the shelves, hairs on the bathroom floor after housekeeping was done). Now the good news: The hotel is located right in the middle of the downtown Hollywood area, which has many shops and clubs and ethnic restaurants within walking distance. It is also centrally located between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. It's about 15 minutes to the airport or to Hollywood Beach, which is much less crazy than the Miami beaches. The breakfast lady was very nice. The baggage guy was very helpful with directions and local attractions. The pool looked nice, but we didn't check it out. Four pillows per bed was a plus for me.
