The hotel was on the DART line (just as indicated in their description), which we were looking for since we traveled to Dallas via AMTRAK. We had planned to get around via DART while in Dallast, but the friendly shuttle staff at the hotel took us-then picked us up both days of our stay. Everyone - Front Desk, Housekeeping, were friendly, and The Sleep by Number Beds were great. Everything was clean and neat, and no hint of smoke anywhere!!!

The room was clean and nice but, very small, similar to a walk-in closet. The bed was not comfortable and for some reason there is a $25 dollar charge on my credit card. In their defense, I have not yet called to see what the charge is for. Probably wouldn't stay again unless it was a larger room.

Don't stay here if you're planning to

Don't stay here if you're planning to use the pool.
I booked here with my son because they claim to have an indoor/outdoor heated pool. The heating wasn't working, the pool was 38 degrees. Worse than that the management didn't seem to care. "You can still swim if you want to" they told us. Eventually they offered a free in-room movie as compensation!

The hotel service was good, the bed was very comfortable, and, for the price, it was good place to stay. This hotel is probably due for a top-to-bottom update: the room was functional, but a bit dated, my a/c system seemed to be either full on, or off, and the bathroom is due for some upgrades. If you need to be close to SMU for some event, you can't beat the proximity, and, while this isn't a luxury hotel, it should serve the mid-level or business traveler just fine.

Nothing. The lack of service.“When going into the holiday it looks ok from the outside. It was too far from where we are working and inconvenient. Then yesterday there was no room service, the room smells and you have to body slam the door, to open it. We turned on the heater and it smelt like someone was dieing. The food was left in the room, there is mildew.”

The rooms were comfy and the sleep number beds were great. The pool was out of service for 2 days in the summer.“This hotel was in a very central location, easy access to many restaurants and shopping center. Right off Hwy 35 and within walking distance of many attractions! Great motel for the price!”

We loved the sleep number bed.Pretty unimpressed with the TV. Not much selection, and what was there was bad reception.“The hotel was nice, unfortunately there was a cheerleading camp at SMU that weekend, so we had 100's of middle and high school age cheerleaders running around the hotel, which for some may be attractive, but was not to us. There was no ice on our floor, the soda machine was out of several selections, etc. It is a very nice hotel, with a staff that tries hard to please you.”

Bad Experience

We stayed here to try out the sleep number bed. My husband set his on 45 & when he woke up it was on 80. The air conditioner would run for a while then shut off & not come on again unless you got up and set it again. And be sure and ask if any groups of kids are staying there before you check in. It is close to SMU & there was a cheerleading camp going on. The kids ran up & down the halls talking & giggling late into the night & nothing happened when we complained. We did not sleep at all between the noise & the air condtioning. The breakfast buffet was costly & cold. We will never stay in another Radisson. It was an awful experience.
