I have stayed in many hotels from one star all the way to five star, and I would deffinetly stay in this hotel again. Our rate for a two double bedded room was only $58. The service was great, front desk staff was very friendly. The lobby was nicely remodeled with a gas fireplace, marble tile floors, and attractive furnishings. Our guest room was also remodeled sometime fairly recently, had a balcony that we could see the downtown skyline from, and quite clean. The staff went out of our way to make our stay great including allowing us to have a late check out, and arranging a sedan service to take us downtown. Ok, so the location is not the very best, but the hotel was very safe and secure. This hotel is an excellent value for people who are looking to be close to downtown, and are on a budget. On the first night I was placed on the side next to the interstate highway with the sound reflecting off a rock face to my room. I had a quieter room the next 3 days. The balcony sliding glass door did not lock so they had an aluminum jam bar. Maid service was poor, the bed was not always made up. The elevator almost always stopped on floor 2 even though there was never anyone there. One person in the group got stuck for 5 minutes in the elevator until it started up again. The phone wakeup service was off by 30 minutes and they could not fix it.
