At least this blocked most of the noise of the nearby highway. That or no one was driving on that particular night. It was a cold wet storm, and the snow line was only a few miles away. I ask for a ground floor because I have bad knees, but the person behind the counter decides a climb up three flights of stairs outside in the wind and rain will do me some good. The stairs steep, and the catwalk outside to the rooms narrow. If you were to meat up with someone outside of the rooms, someone would have to double back and duck into their room in order to get by. My room had damaged fixtures inside, and I immediately went back down to discuses it with the person at the desk. For my reward I was moved down one floor.
