I'm going to make this short. My husband and I booked a night here when we were moving out of our home in Clarksville. We woke up the next morning with ants coming out of the sink pipe and crawling all over our belongings. They were inside my brush, our drinking glasses and worst... IN OUR CHILD'S BOTTLES AND NIPPLES. I have never been so disgusted. And to top it off, the only thing the hotel did for us was give us $7 MEASLY dollars off of our already $** tab. Thanks for nothing. NEVER AGAIN.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding. It was as good as any resturant buffet. We would certainly stay here again.

We stayed with several other families

We stayed with several other families for a soccer tournament Friday-Sunday. We were anxious booking rooms via the internet because you never know what you get. We were very impressed with the quality of the hotel for the price. Our room had a very comfortable King size bed and a full size bed. We requested a roll away bed as well since there were five of us and to our pleasant surprise it was just as comfortable as the others. It was not the fold in half kind but a regular mattress. The room had a large plasma TV, refrigerator, microwave, and hairdryer. It had FREE local calls, FREE wireless, and FREE breakfast. The TV also had a media hookup so you can bring a DVD player, it had a place to plug in your cell phone and your laptop for recharging. The breakfast had a hostess to seat you and a waitress that brought pots of coffee, water, and other items requested. They served breakfast off a menu (menu prices) or the FREE breakfast buffet which consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, grits, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes, french toast, egg casserole, fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, apples, oranges), cereal, yogurt. It also had apple juice, orange juice, tomato juice, 2% and skim milk. Inside the hotel there were an inside pool, baby pool, hot tub, and sauna. It had an outside pool as well. The pools were good size and never got overly crowded considering there were tons of kids there for the soccer tournament. The rooms had been recently remodeled and were very tasteful. We had a great experience and would recommend it for anyone traveling with children or on business.

Average hotel for a premium price

Individual rooms are adequate, clean, and updated with the latest televisions. Praise for the hotel ends there, the building itself is outdated, and a lack of attention has been placed on ensuring that common areas shared by guests (lounge, dinning area, and computer room) are clean. While the staff is friendly and willing to help customers, I do not plan on staying at a quality inn again.

We have stayed here multiple times, and are very happy to have found such a nice hotel. (there are a lot of marginal ones)We like the full breakfast buffet, kids meal with adult purchase for dinner, allows pets, and honors special requests. All this and friendly staff make this a great place to stop.

Not the best ... or the worst

Not what one would expect from a Holiday Inn. We expected better for what we were being (over)charged. When choosing where to book a hotel in the Louisville area we relied upon the good name of the Holiday Inn. Bad mistake.

But the staff was nice....except for one waitress who clearly had an attitude problem. We got the feeling we were really wrecking her evening. But then, maybe we were, since we were one of only two occupied tables at the restaurant that night. Perhaps she was looking to go home early?

To put this bad experience behind us we went over to the bar for a nightcap before bed and were pleasantly met by a wonderful bartender who displayed true hospitality.

Overall, food was good, room adequate.

We travel through the Louisville area from time to time over the course of a year, but I doubt we will be back to this particular Holiday Inn.
