The hotel pictures provided on the web site are very misleading. The hotel is in terrible shape. The stairs are very old and dangerous. This is the only set of stairs to the second floor. The owners do most of the work and are very difficult to unde

Sure it's not far from the falls but the room , services sucks.

owner himself does the roomservice, have not hired even a single person to help with that. doesnt want to do it nicely, result is smelly, dirty rooms.

Rooms have lot of clutter e.g. refrigerator and microwave that doesnt work. Even airconditioning doesnt work.

two good points though it was the cheapest one available and not far from the falls but i still will never go there as dont feel like it was worth the time and money i spent there

Liked: cheap price

disliked: dirty room, broken tub,no maid service,no sheet change,no towel change, black hairs all over tub, tried to confirm night before and was told they didn't know anything about our reservation even though we had a confirmation number. Area around hotel is not in nice spot...use care...windows did not lock...ours was cracked open when we returned from the day. You can walk to the Falls from hotel but not worth it. Look for a better hotel. Disgusting room all together...would not recommend or go back...

Travelers Beware - Nightmare

I RESERVE 2 NIGHTS VIA PHONE CALL. WHEN I GET INTO THE ROOM I THINK THIS MOTEL IS THE WORST EVER. THEY SEEM NOT TO CHANGE THE BED SHEETS, PILLOW COVER AND TOWELS. A LOT OF BUGS IN THE ROOM. LOT OF TRASH IN BOTTOM OF THE BEDS. AFTER A SHEET CHANGE REQUEST, I STILL GET ITCHY, AND MOVE OUT THE NEXT DAY. BEWARE WITH THIS HOTEL/MOTEL, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF IF YOU REQUEST A RESERVATION. THEY CHARGE ME $79.99 DOUBLE BED FOR ONE NIGHT AND SOMEONE CALL IN FOR A RESERVATION AND THEY CHARGE THEM $90 FOR THE SAME DAY. I HAPPEN TO FIND OUT LATER THAT THEIR REAL RATE IS $35. THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL/MOTEL EXPERIENCE, THIS PLACE IS VERY FILTHY DIRTY. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET A SKIN DISEASE, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. YOU CAN PAY A SAME PRICE FOR A BETTER SERVICE. IF I CAN RATE THIS HOTEL/MOTEL LESS THAN ONE STAR I WILL.

Better than other reviews suggest...

Stayed here for 1 week in November.
Chose it mainly because of the price.

All the in-room equipment worked : refrigerator, TV (50+ channels).
Towels were changed every day
Very convenient as many restaurants are within walking distance.

On the bad side, it's true that the rooms could look newer/cleaner.
I think they switch the heat on only after 6 PM, so if you're in your room earlier than that and it's November in Ontario, well you get the picture...
The reception hall was in terrible shape (works going on)

All in all, ok for a single guy who doesn't want to spend too much. Otherwise, choose something else

THE CHAIRS WAS FILTHY,THE BLANKETS WERE COVERED IN HAIRS & FILTH.
We two girls stayed there for one night during xmas. And would never go back! The location was the only good thing. There were bugs on bed and strange noise from the ceiling all night! It was scary. Nothing was opened during xmas besides the casino. I recommend go to the canada side.

Hazzle cancelling a future reservation

I reserved a room on the phone with my credit card. I had to cancel my vacation. I called Passport in 5 days prior to ny arrival date to cancel. The man screamed at me and did not want to take my cancellation. I thought it may have been me and asked someone else to call for me - same thing. The man also refused to give us a cancellation number or a name. He hang up. When we tried to call back he kept hanging up. I had to call my credit card company - since the reservation was still in the future and with their suggestion change my credit card number etc. What a hassle to cancel a future reservation - be aware!!!

This place is good for a day.

Pros :
1) Very Near to the falls
2) Microwave and refrigerator in the room
3) Mostly NFL channel is provided

What I have not liked

1) Room needs to be more clean

Definitly not advisable for a date or spending romnatic evenings
