The staff was not attentive, service was poor at the front desk and lack of training was evident. The room was very large (suite) but dull. The furnishings were uncomfortable and in all the space the decor was extremely sparce. The pillows and linnens were very nice and comfortable but the bed itself was a bit uncomfortable. The space in the bathroom was too small and we could not even unpack all of our toiletries in there. The water in the shower did not stay hot for the second person showering - both days. The parking garage is very small and you must drag your luggage down/up stairs to get into the hotel (though we found later that there is valet parking but nobody offered when we originally parked out front to check-in). Dinner on the veranda was very good and the music was entertaining. We will not be coming back to this hotel to stay. Staff was friendly, but the hotel itself was far from what was expected. Bathroom was very small and there was no AC in the main areas of the hotel. Stairs from parking deck to hotel and no coverage from the rain. But like any older, retrofitted inn, it sometimes needs additional maintenance. Our room's air conditioner went out in the evening, leaving us in an 85 degree room: it was actually cooler outdoors. The staff was wonderful. They acted quickly - moving us to a different room.
