we loved this hotel, we have been going to ocean city for about 10 yrs, and have stayed in about 4 different locations, but park place by far surpasses any of them, we were thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel period, even the stairwells were kept very clean, someone was always working picking up, vacuuming, etc, we were very happy with our stay, i would definitly recommend it to others, we plan on going back, and it was worth the time and money. we were there last week of july of 2008.

What a surprise!

My family spent the week of June 23rd at the Park Place and as it was on the boardwalk, we were skeptical about finding condoms and other party items. Yet, the room was extremely clean and the hotel presented itself very well. At night, they lock the hotel up tight and other than guests, no one comes in. I did not lilke the freaky night men however who checked the cars. My wife was afraid to be in the parking lot when they were there and one woud not stop staring. Very trashy to say the least. Also, the staff with the exception of the 2 young ladies on duty Sundy June 29th were quite unfriendly. The 2 ladies were quite nice. We liked being so close to everything. All in all, I would stay there in a heart beat and intend to do so in September.

The location is great. The staff is polite, friendly, and very helpful. Rooms are clean and up to date. I've been going to O.C. for 35 years and finally, I don't have to look or shop around for a place to stay...I'll stay here. Nice for vacationing with family or friends...Thanks Park Place.

Great location, right on the hopping section of the boardwalk. Could not hear boardwalk noise from the room. Small, but nice pool. Good service, average room, good price. Only complaints - Slow elevator, and not impressed with restaurant, but many to choose from, just steps away.

very nice hotel

Stayed at Park Place in July, 2007. I am extremely fussy about hotels. No need to worry about this hotel. It was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were large, and the furnishings were updated and pretty. I didn't eat in the the hotel, but the boardwalk deck had a wonderful oceanfront view. The location is perfect- you walked right out on to the boardwalk, but it wasn't noisy. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the pool. It was tiny, very cloudy, filled with small children, and overlooked the parking lot.

The Park Place was the worst hotel I have ever been to in my life! I have been to hundreds and this one was by far the worst!
The staff are completly RUDE! there are carpet stains all over the place and everthing was horrible. the elevators are super slow, the mattresses looked like they have not been changed in centuries, the are lumpy, the t.v. is all static and it was just horrible! I will never go back there in my life and I suggest the same to you.

EXCELLENT!

We just came back from O.C. Maryland from the Memorial Day, 2007 weekend. We are soooo glad we chose Park Place. Very clean and modern room. Spacious. We had a double effiency Ocean Front. All rooms are efficiencies. Private Balcony with excellent view of the large sandy beach and boardwalk. Close to the action, but not noisy at all! Everything worked. Staff was more than accomodating and gave us everything we asked for (extra coffee, extra soaps....Bath and Body products, very nice). Really nice cafe just downstairs and goes right on to the boardwalk. Nice breakfast buffet. This is a 6-floor modern building, so not so high that you are way, way up there. Nice bar area, and there is a large deck that has lounge chairs that you can relax and watch things on the beach and boardwalk. On the "parking lot" side of the building there is a small pool. Nice, but small. But everybody goes to the beach anyway! The housekeepers really did a great job as our room was sparkling clean each day. Parking was good...right outside the building. We didn't have to take our car anyplace at all, due to the great location with everything nearby. I highly recommend this Hotel. We definitely will be going back to the same hotel again when we visit O.City. Again, I recommend this hotel and I know you will be very pleased with your stay.

MY GIRLFRIEND AND I STAYED HERE IN JULY 2006.THE SURF VILLA HAS TO BE THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN OCEAN CITY.LOCATION IS THE BEST.VALUE,NOBODY CAN TOUCH IN O.C.THE STAFF IS WORLD CLASS IN EVERY WAY.THEY MADE OUR STAY THE BEST TIME EVER,AND I MEAN THAT.WE WILL RETURN THERE AGAIN IN 2007.THE REST OF OCEAN CITY HOTELS SHOULD SIT UP AND TAKE NOTICE OF HOW A REAL 5 STAR HOTEL SHOULD BE.
PEOPLE LISTEN UP,WHY WOULD YOU PAY $200.00 A NIGHT FOR A BIG HOTEL AND ALL THE TRAFFIC.WHEN YOU COULD PAY A LOT LESS AND RECEIVE SO MUCH MORE,AND PUT MORE MONEY BACK IN YOUR POCKET TO USE ON OTHER THINGS.THE CHOICE IS YOURS,BUT YOU CAN BET OUR CHOICE WILL ALWAYS BE SURF VILLA. VERN VAPENIK.
