Food service, in the cafe was very, very slow. The food was great when you finally got it. The buffet was poorly displayed, dry and tasteless. We almost finished our meal before we got our drinks. Staff was very rude, in both the casino and the hotel. Our first night there, the maid didn't come and make up our room. One Keno lady chased us down because we got a cup of coffee from the urn that was, in her words "For Keno players only!" It was 8:00am, there were no Keno players and a hotel worker told us we could get a cup. The coffee pot was not marked for Keno players. My family and I have been staying in this hotel for more than 20 years and this is the first time that we have been so disappointed.

When we arrived the staff was very

When we arrived the staff was very helpful, as it was late at night and we were traveling with 3 small children the bell man unloaded our bags from the airport shuttle and took them directly to our room. We checked into our Court Yard room. The walk to the room was far and the room itself was small, but clean. We went right to bed because it was late. I woke up about 5am having trouble breathing (I have asthma). My husband said even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room he thinks someone had smoked in there. I went to the front desk and was immediately given another room just above the room we had. There is not elevator in the court yard side so the bell man (and my husband) had to carry all of our bags up the stairs. This room was just like the other without the smoke smell. The staff was quite helpful and very nice. The pool was large and our kids had a great time in it. We left for the weekend to go to the Grand Canyon and when we returned we did pay the extra for a tower room. The tower rooms were beautiful. Large beds, big bathroom with a tub. Big flat screen TV. Nice view. The Tower rooms were definitely worth the extra cash. On a whole the hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast buffet ( we had it 3 times while there) was very good with a nice variety. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was kid friendly. The only problem was walking through the VERY SMOKE FILLED casino to get to the buffet. Overall we were very happy.

watch for added charges put on room rates per day. Do not agree to pay --this is A rip -off. Do not let the hotel get away with it.

Palace Station was a typical mid-level Las Vegas Hotel. The staff was always helpful, friendly and courteous. Room was a basic hotel room and standard for Las Vegas where they want you out and about. No fridge, no microwave, but that is the Las Vegas Standard. The three hotel restaurants that I dined in had first rate service and excellent food with good value for the dollar. The free shuttle service made getting to the strip easy and access to the monorail system made day tripping on the strip accessible. I truly enjoyed my stay.

we had a blast from the friendly van driver to the great room view in room 421 in the towers. the BINGO at 11PM was a blast. the guy who runs it made our party feel so welcome. I also liked being away from the hussel and bussel of the strip in the early morning hours. can't wait to return.

Pros: Room was very neat and clean: Pool was very clean and the service people very helpful.
Cons: The buffet was very bland though other interior restaurants compensated. The ice machine was too far away.Pros+ Got a great deal on room price from travel website.

Love staying at the Palace Station

This is the second stay at the Palace Station.... we love staying there and had a room in the courtyard area, which we liked very much. The room was clean and when asking for service of more linens, they were more than generous. We also enjoyed eating at their feast buffet, as the price is the best, and with your boarding pass you get one dollar off per person. This is our 10 or 12th trip to las vegas and we have stayed at other hotels in center strip, and still prefer to stay at Palace Station. They also have a shuttle to and from the airport and also to the strip. Cannot beat having that kind of transportation. They also offer bingo, which many casinos do not. The pools also are a short distance from the courtyard rooms.

All the staff was very friendly.

As for any negatives... perhaps a few, but the positives surely outweigh the negatives for us. The courtyard rooms are somewhat small and only have a shower and no tub. The room size is not an issue, just sleeping there. Full size beds in a double room, queen size would have been a plus, but doubt any budget hotels have queens in a double room. Also, it is a little off the strip, but a 24-hour ticket on the city bus is available for 5 dollars a day....

All in all, I would recommend Palace Station as a place to stay, unless you have your eyes on someplace ritzy, and then you will be disappointed, but you cannot beat the bargain.

no refrig in room, bogus hotel service fee that we had no clue about, i guess it must be 5 star hotel, long hair under omelet, high food prices, when at the brunch buffet it didnt even have all the food out until an hour later, so we got full and all the other new food starts coming out, long walk from car to room(like 10 minutes with stairs, no elevator in portions of hotel), slow drink service, unfriendly staff(it is a local place and not to keen on smiling or greeting), so if u are traveling thousands of miles for a getaway dont go here,
I wont and its too bad for them because i travel to vegas about 5 times annual,
its back to Main street for me which is what I would reccommend.

After reading reviews I was

After reading reviews I was apprehensive about staying here, but had to for a conference. I was greatly surprised. I stayed in the tower rooms, but paid for the courtyard (no charge for upgrade at the desk). I have stayed at TI and with the exception that the room was a touch smaller the recent renovation puts the room quality at the least equal with 4star resorts on the strip. I had a business emergency while there and needed to receive a fax. Unlike other reviews I had absolutely no trouble. My wife joined me mid-week, I left a note and tip on the piilow and they left extra towels, added a couple pillows, and gave extra special attention to cleaning detail. I only ate at Cabo's and either I was hungry, or it was pretty darn good. I was there during happy hour on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday evening, and ate and drank my fill for $5 plus tip. Played the video BlackJack during my meal on Tuesday and left with more than I walked in with after the meal ;-). If you want an exciting casino experience, go to the strip. This casino is small and caters to locals. However, they have every table game and slots you will find elsewhere. If you are looking for poker, go somewhere else, there are much better places on the strip.
