Nice hotel, but the room a bit noisy

The hotel was definitely very nice with direct access to the casino. it also has some nice restaurants in it. The room was nice but the connecting door to the next door room produced a lot of noise. Could literally hear the conversations of the neighbours.

Booked into a room with people in it!!!!

I reserved my room on their site a month in advance. To avoid any problems and to make sure to get a good rate for the 3 nights. I was double booked and moved a floor up to the 26 floor. On the 3rd night locked-out. Front desk only had two nights and not the three. The pool area is very small. Fills up early. The slots at the NEW YORK NEW YORK don't like to have winners. The cleaning staff great. Expect alot of things to go wrong with your stay. Staff at front desk have no clue so be prepare!!
On the positive side, it's on the end of the south side of the strip, good for walking or you can go on the duce buse and travel up and down the strip for $7.00. Rooms are big. Bathroom and room clean thanks to the maids. The view great. Could see the Mgm and excaliber. The new York hotel is for children. Adult atmosphere. At ckeckout you will get one price but when I got home checked my statement and was charged more. Not for the family. Stayed from 8/2/09 to 8/4/09. will not come back.

You should be aware that this hotel is

You should be aware that this hotel is at the end of the strip and that going downtown or walking down to the center of the strip is quite a ways. This hotel has big rooms and nice bathrooms with excellent maid service. Hotel personnel were very helpful and nice. The hotel has plenty of restaurants and quick eating areas, a big (if dark) casino, and a busy night club. It gets pretty loud at night, but there is plenty of entertainment in the hotel, and of course, it is Las Vegas so there is always something open. Food can be quite expensive. If you rent or have a car, there is no problem with parking which is right behind the hotel. Be aware that there is a $3 per day phone charge add-on fee. Do NOT call a cell phone from your hotel phone which is a long distance call and ended up costing us $15. Roaming charges are cheaper. There are also some rooms that are very noisy because of screaming from the roller coaster until after midnight. All in all, we thought that this was a nice moderately (for Las Vegas) priced hotel.

We stayed at the NYNY Hotel for 4

We stayed at the NYNY Hotel for 4 nights mid-March over Spring Break. The room was very clean, we asked for a non-smoking one when we arrived and got one. We also asked for a good view, and were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a Strip view for $ more per night, we said no. We got a city view in the Chrysler bldg on the 34th floor which was fantastic. The tub and shower were nice, friendly service and loved the armoire in the room. Also iron and board were provided. The lobby and casino were extremely cold, you had to wear a sweater in there or freeze while you ate in the little shops around there. The gambling areas were a little better, but relatively smoke free compared to other hotels. (MGM Grand was really smokey to us) Price was pretty good, and we never used room service. Charging me $3.00 a day for the phone I never used was a waste also. The beds were comfortable but the But all in all, a great Hotel and I'd stay there again easily.

New York New York proved to be a great

New York New York proved to be a great hotel to stay at. The desk clerk that waited on us was friendly and accommodating - our room was upgraded and the $3.00 per day phone charge was taken off. Our room was nice - (big bathroom), maid service was timely and good. The pool is smaller than some casinos, but adequate. There was a time when you could go to Vegas and eat for a reasonable amount - no more. Seemed like everywhere the food (and drinks) were very high. Transportation is also expensive - plan on about $10 for a round-trip up and down the strip. The bus was cheaper, but very crowded!. All in all I definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The hotel is extremely clean and conveniently located on the strip. Hotel staff was very accommodating and very friendly. We would certainly consider to stay in this hotel again. The food options are also numerous and offer a nice variety with great values.
