This is a no frills motel but affordable. The room is smallllllll but clean, the pool(while closed some of our stay) was smallllll but clean-the pool deck is awful, you cant take off your shoes and walk to get in the pool or you will literally burn your feet-I am not sure what they made the deck out of-some kinda hard plastic that absorbs the suns heat. The location just a few blocks walk to the beach was enjoyable and we didnt mind not being "right" on the beach. You could walk to lots of restaurants and shops. South Padre was the highlight of our va-ka however we wished we would have tried another comprable motel on the island because while affordable the room was so small it wasnt even worth the price. The rooms are clean, the prices are reasonalable, close to all major attractions in town, and only 3-4 blocks away from the beach. We had a blast. They have a on site swimming pool, We had a hard time getting the kids out of the pool to go to the ocean. For the money we saved by staying here, we were able to have all kids of fun in town.
