would not recommend this hotel

first of all when you check into this motel you had to pay in full before you check in. When I 1st walked into the the room there were a strong odor smelled like stalled smoke there were also gnats in the room. The 2nd problem the toliet was broken, the 3rd room had dirty underwear under the bed, the 4th room the shower nozzle was broken, the 5th room stink. This is a filthy motel I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, I strongly recommend to you to get their act together and clean this motel up. This hotel is not newly renovated as stated. I think that the better business bureau should be notify of this motel. This motel is very filthy and it is not a safe place. There were police office in the lobby for security purpose. They should have a sign that states enter at your own risk.

Awful!

My husband and I had a terrible experience at this Motel 6. After checking into our non smoking room, that smelled like a dozen smokers had lived in it, we discovered dirty towels in the bathroom, used washcloths thrown in the tub, fecal matter on the toilet, and a telephone that didn't work. Needless to say, we did NOT stay the night. It was a complete hassle to check out of the motel. The front desk agent told us that we would be charged for the entire stay since we had already checked in, and there was no manager on duty to discuss this with. The next day there again was no manager in the motel to dispute the matter with, and the 800 number customer service was of no help. After days of frustration, the matter finally had to be settled by my credit card company. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many other affordable pet friendly options in Norfolk/VA Beach.

i stayed in an adjoining room, the people on the other side tried the lock twice, and had a 2 year old that cried, and cried, and when the child was quiet, the tv was blaring, i asked to be moved, they put me in a non smoking room that stunk. only good thing about it was it allowed dogs, i let him sleep on the bed for me, which had a cavern in it that made me feel like i was sleeping up hill......... NEVER AGAIN........ cough up the money to stay n a better place than this was. watching the nightly news, there were 5 shootings in one weekend, 2 in norfolk 2 in newport news, and 1 in portsmouth, that is more than nyc has in a weekend. trust me, i am from ny.

First Place I Stayed when I came to Virginia

Okay, what can I say about Motel 6. this is the first place I stayed when I arrived in Virginia. My husband hadnt gotten our apartment and we had to stay in a motel. We stayed a week, one LONG week. Housekeepers were great nothin against them. But our toilet broke like the 3rd day we were there. I opened the top and there was a bread tie holding everything together. I was liek OH GOSH! So we didnt have a tiolet until they came and fixed it and then it broke again. And we didnt get any money back or anything. It really bite the dust. But oh well so my first impression on Virginia didnt start out too well.
