OK for a cheap hotel

Its ok if your not trying to spend a whole lot of money on a room sometimes the over priced rooms are the nastiest so I would go there again just look at it as anythings better then a chessy hotel you pay for by the hour imagine how GROSS those rooms are.

Good rooms at a good price!

I was traveling to Ann Arbor, MI for my friend's wedding/reception. This motel was the cheapest in the area that didn't completely sacrifice quality to lower the cost.

PROS:
*The outdoor pool was nice, clean, and somewhat secluded so that the 'average joe' could not just walk up and use it without being a guest.
*The rooms were clean and spacious while the beds were comfortable. The air conditioner worked very well and kept us cool for our (summer) stay.
*The staff was okay overall, but nothing spectacular.
*Very close to highway.

CONS:
*There wasn't an iron and ironing board anywhere (I had to buy one and make the best out it).
*The room structure was a bit weird with the bathroom sink and mirror being physically located outside the bathroom. Also, the bathroom didn't have a lock on it with the toilet being too close to the bathroom door.

Awful

I thought I was being frugal by staying at Motel 6. In hindsight, I think spending $15 more (for Microtel, Red Roof, etc.) would have been a worthwhile investment. This property was loud and not very clean. I would definitely not recommend it.

Icey cold outside, toasty warm inside

I traveled to Michigan to finally meet my real Dad and I stayed at the Motel 6 in Ann Arbor. It was the first day of Spring, but there were a few ice patches outside the hotel and the snow was flying. The non-smoking room was clean and smelled good. The heater was on full blast to warm me on a frosty day. This hotel was all one level which was nice so that I didn't have to lug my suitcases up and down stairs. It was landscaped really well and very picturesque. The color scheme of the hotel was perfect. The location was excellent, as it was right off of the main highway and down the exit slightly.

They had continual coffee made in the office with plenty of creamer packages and stir straws. I nearly slipped on the ice and fell down as I walked back and forth carrying coffee, and the hotel owner/worker expressed concern. Every time I had a problem, I called the office and the man "got right on it." My wake-up call came exactly on time and with a delightfully funny message! The bed was plenty wide and I slept comfortably. There were ample channels to watch on cable t.v. in the room. I had to make phone calls, and their phone was like new and easy to use(sometimes hotel phone instructions are hard to follow). Overall, my stay was very pleasant and let's just say that I wasn't in any hurry to check out.
