Only thing positive was location on the strip.Horrible room, unsavory clientele, just bad overall. The restaurants were nasty, and some of the hotel staff was rude.

It's hard to say anything was really bad. Its just that everything was just average and boring. The food was below average for Las Vegas. They charge 13.99 a night for internet in room ( $5106 a year.. a little steep ). ( how about the rest of the world with free wireless? ). The Cafe was extremely over-priced for very average-to-poor quality. $60 for a tough steak dinner for 2? There is absolutely nothing special or memorable about this hotel. GIven that there are so many fabulous hotels in Las Vegas, I would highly recommend you stay somewhere else. All the high-roller rooms were empty. Why would anyone want to stay here. if they could stay anywhere else? Beats me.. Also, they seem to turn off the A/C at times during the night, and you'll wake up in a sweat. Very strange. Our non-smoking room reeked of smoke. I'm not that fussy, so i stayed.. but never, never, never again

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.Internet access $14 per day. Use of gym also extra cost. The Monte Carlo is a nice hotel but is missing most of the amenities expected for a 4 star hotel charging high room rates. The extra fees for most item included by one and 2 star hotels was frustrating. The rooms are functional but also only basic amenities (no microwave or small fridge).

Location was convenient. It was too small. It would have been a great hotel if it was a 3 star. My expectation for a 4 star is much higher. The hotel is small, the casino is small and the room is small.

Only location being on the strip. Many things. Extremely low hygiene. I would rate this hotel 2.5 - 3 star. Compared to other Las Vegas hotels, this hotel is way lower in terms of comfort and luxury. No way even close to 3.5. Our bath and shower were awful, the water stayed in the bath and never goes down in both of the rooms that we stayed at. The hotel entertainment was dead even though we went in high season. Restaurants and shops were non impressive and closed for most of the time we stayed. The pool is very small. Construction work was going on around the hotel has made staying, new the pool extremely unpleasant (noise, dust, smell).
