Must pay for airpport shuttle

The shuttle is 6$ one way and goes once an hour, not good since I was just there for a short 6 hours in between flights. The room was clean.

Hotel is close to the airport and easy

Hotel is close to the airport and easy to find just off the freeway. We stayed one night before our flight and one night after we returned to Salt Lake. We left our car there and took their shuttle to the airport. I felt perfectly comfortable leaving our car in the well-lit parking lot in one of the spaces by the front door. My husband was concerned about the full-tank of gas we inadvertantly left thinking that it would surely be siphoned in the ten days we were gone - but it was fine. Sink is inside the bathroom with the toilet and shower which can be problematic when all of us try to get ready at once but one wall of the room is mirrored so this helped with that problem. I was concerned about the noise from the trucks on the freeway and from the nearby airport, but I didn't hear anything. Both nights were were in the middle of the hotel - once on the 1st floor and then on the 2nd floor. I have stayed here previously and have heard the noise when our room was at the end of the hotel nearest the freeway. The waffles for breakfast were great for the kids. This is a clean, comfortable hotel, I will continue to stay here when our flights leave from Salt Lake.

Nothing.The location and amenities

Nothing. The location and amenities don't even deserve a single star rating. This place is a complete dump and not even worthy of an "economy" star rating. I've been at campgrounds with better accommodations.

Microtel Is a good inexpensive choice.

I stayed here for 4 nights. Flew in on Tuesday and left on Saturday morning. Very close to the airport, but I did not hear any airplane noise. It is also close to the freeway also, but I did not hear any noise that was worth mentioning. Also, there was plenty of hot water no matter what time of day I used the shower.
They offer free breakfast in the lobby, small work out room, free in room wireless access, daily free morning paper, internet access from a computer in the lobby, free 24 hour coffee in lobby, in room cable TV, decent beds, no smoking & is pet friendly. If I were to rate this I would give it 4 stars for an economy hotel. It is a great place to stay if you have a lay over or are in town for just a short visit. The staff is exceptionally friendly and I would definitely stay here again.
I would like to have an in room fridge and hair dryer, but for $49/night with 2 queen beds I can live without. Also, the in room wireless connection is a bit sporatic and makes it a little difficult to conduct any business where you need to download or upload any large files, but it is fine for reading emails and surfing.

Everything was just fine. It was definitely a budget hotel, but it was better than staying in the airport.

Perfect Place For The $$$$

I've stayed here about 4 times in the past year while picking up my son from Salt Lake City. Being from Vegas, I'm used to huge hotels and grand entrances. At Microtel, it's small...quaint...very hospitable. You don't feel like sheep being herded into a huge casino lobby, being pushed and shoved - only to be told by an employee, "...sir, you have to stand a little more to the left..."

At Microtel, I pull into the driveway, unload my luggage, check in, and I'm off to my room - all within 7 mins! It's very quiet there, so resting is VERY easy to do! Even the guests all speak while walking past each other - which is very nice - especially after coming from a big city like Las Vegas.

I recommend this hotel if you want a good night's sleep and a nice, secure time in a hotel away from home. If you're looking for partying and kids running everywhere, then Microtel isn't the place for you. It's about as quiet as they come - and I can't seem to find any other hotel quite like it.
