NEVER AGAIN!!!!

On a trip across the country, I made the mistake of staying here. I chose the Memphis Plaza only because I found a discount coupon in a discount hotel magazine and it was on my way. The morning after my stay, it took me over 30 minutes to check out because there was no one at the front desk. Then when I went to my car I discovered it had been broken into. Someone took all my electronics among other items. When the police arrived, the officer told me that they come to this hotel every morning due to a car being broken into. I also discovered that they had taken one of my credit cards and charged over $800 at local convenience stores during the night. After returning home, I called the Memphis Plaza to ask the person at the front desk if they ever have a problem with auto break-ins. They assured me this was a very safe place and they have never had a problem.

I would have rated this hotel a "0" but it was not a choice.

We were given a room where the sink ran and we could not turn the water off. We had to call and switch rooms and luckily they had a room that they placed us in which was a handicapped room. There was no remote in this room for the television. The hotel had dirty carpet and ceiling tiles that were missing or drenced with water stains from leaks. I would definitely not stay at this hotel ever again!!!!

This hotel has just been sold to new management. The former left the place in a pitiful state of disrepair & general disarray. The new staff does not know what they are doing. We found the room was dirty... etc, etc, etc.

The location for the hotel was ok, easy to find, but being on the backside of the hotel, the interstate travel kept me up. There was no really choice of restaurants around the hotel. It would have been nice to know where things were in relationship to the

The hotel was extremely hard to find

The hotel was extremely hard to find & looked very run down and old from the outside. There was construction going on all over the hotel - dust and debris were everywhere. Holes in the walls in the hallway leading up to our room and our bed linen was dirty (had stains on the linen) and smelled like mold. The bathroom had mold in the bathtub and a live cockroach trapped in the bathroom light!! Sink was plugged up and tv did not work. Called for extra towels (they provided 3 towels for 4 people) and never got them - had to go to the front desk to get them only to see the clerk outside smoking. Experience so terrible we left the next day and stayed at Heartbreak Hotel. Upon check out they refused to check us out demanding we call an 800 number. Would NEVER stay at this hotel chain EVER again. Would rather sleep in my rental car. DON'T BOOK WITH THEM OR YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a shabby motel room in the Bahamas, this was 1000x's better. Interior common areas could use some touching up, but otherwise, a great steal! Not too far from downtown, not too far from Graceland, and great food and shopping 5 min. away. Great get-a-way spot. Will stay in the plaza chain more!

The location, the comfort and the price were good. The staff did not attempt to help me retrieve items inadvertently left behind. They did not offer to compensate me.

We were completely disappointed! When we got there, there was a weird smell in the lobby, the staff was rude. We went to our room, bugs in the bathroom, tiny room, the room looked and smelled dirty, you could hear everything around. We ended up immediately checking out.

This hotel needs to be worked on and the staff also needs a course in customer service. Everyone encountered in this hotel was down right rude. Curtains have holes, mattress worn out, dirt on walls, could even see daylight around ac. Lounge was never open and checkout clerk was on phone waited for 10 mins to checkout and finally just left.
