horrible experience, tiny room for 179 a night. too small for one person. tiny lobby if you can call it that. elevator barely big enough for two people with a suitcase each. very hot in august even with the cheasy ac unit in it. saw two rats walk by in front of the hotel and they were shaking their heads at the door entranceway. they couldnt hold our bagsfor a couple of hours while waiting for a taxi without charging us three dollars a piece for them.the best deal was a taxi to the jfk for 36 dollars for the two of us. it was worth that getting out of there. didnt expect the world for the price but would of expected even a slight trickle of value for the dollar.didnt get that.. it was only a few blocks from all the major attractions though or else it would be a fifteen dollar room in any small town while passing through. feel free to contact me my name is robert at 503 7408486

The hotel offered a rate of $74.99,

The hotel offered a rate of $74.99, which is not bad for a small room with clean bed and private bathroom. There is no internet in the room, the lighting is average-poor, but the room is clean and the hotel is located two blocks away from the Times Square and about 10 blocks (10-15 minutes walk) from Jacob K Javits Convention Center. 8th Avenue has plenty of restaurants, the area is convinient to catch a public transportation. It is acceptable for a short business like stay.

Served Purpose with a kind staff

This little hotel in the big city was perfect for the purpose it served. I was in NYC for thanksgiving, one night only with my girlfriend and mother. Had what we needed for the night and was under $200 for the three of us. The parade was great. Nothing better than plastic that floats.

This is really a Motel NY Style. This

This is really a Motel NY Style. This hotel is suited for a one, max two night stay, and for an individual or a couple desperate to stay in the city. This hotel address is also known as Manhattan Broadway Hotel. The picture features here is not in the hotel.

Location:
Very nice location, keep in mind that blocks in New York City are small. This hotel is 3 blocks from TIME SQUARE, 4 blocks to NY #1 RED LINE METRO, 6 blocks to the Empire State Building.
Public elevator parking is close on 37 between 8th and 9th. One block from the hotel, payed $30 per day, and it is worth it as we walked/use Metro.

Looks:
Well, you get what you pay for, a small old building, nothing fancy. This is an old building the fashion district that was converted into a hotel. You walk to a narrow hallway to the back to see the front desk; the front is a Chinese restaurant. The hallways and stairways are narrow, makes you wonder how they got the mattresses in. No carpet in the hallway, so it keeps them bright, and somewhat easy to clean. You see elements of periods past next to new accessories.

Rooms:

Wow, they managed to squeeze 2 double beds and a bunk beds in what would be a double in other hotels. Very limited space to walk in the room, a standalone closet, and a small mirror desk. Stuff doesn&#146t match in case you care. One night is all we could take. Really the room is fit for a quick shower and crash for the nigh.
The building is for sure ancient, it has seen its share of renovations and some of those remain in it. A lot of makeshift wood boxes to cover old heater system pipes etc. The room were newly painted and carpeted (I am sure it was easy to carpet than replace the old floor). And we got a visit from a roach.

Amenities:

Breakfast: Not included, there is no Cafeteria in the hotel. But plenty of Delies and starbuck/Dunkin donuts one block away.

Towels/Soap: Bring your own, very old and mismatched, you wonder where they from. No soap. But the quick market is around the corner.

Shower: Yes

Hot water: Yes

Heater: there is a heater unit, but did not work.

A/C: there were few windows units.

View: we got the brick view of the next building; the only window with the view of the city will be looking at the busy street below if any.

Iron: there was one in the hallway for public use.

Phone: we did not have any in our room.

Hair Dryer: a couple were in the bathroom, not sure why.

Internet: the Hotels ahs a big sign advertising this, but all we saw was a Desktop PC setup near the front desk but the paper sign attached to it said no Google, no Yahoo, and no Hotmail, and ZERO privacy.

I wouldn't return here

Hotel is listed as a resource for the "budget minded" traveler with elevator, internet, cable, airconditioning. Elevator could hold 2 people with luggage, 3 without. Internet cafe was a table next to the wall in a very small lobby. Air conditioning, a window unit. The rate of $229 per day plus taxes wasn't that economical considering our room had roaches and bed bugs. Stayed the first night and checked out the next morning. The best thing about it--the closeness of Garment District, Times Square, Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden. Definitely crossed off my NY hotel list.

Price and location. No reading light and seedy outside appearance.“The location and price were great. I was a little apprehensive about the outside appearance, kind of seedy. The staff was very helpful and friendly, room and bath clean. Had two double beds and room to walk around. Not a bad place for a short stay.”

I am disgusted that travel website has the audacity to offer this so-called hotel. They have clearly never checked it out. It bears no resemblance to its description and is frankly filthy, dangerous and at $*, outrageous. It's little more than a rat-infested doss-house.
