The hotel was absolutely amazing! It is the only hotel on the strip that smelled good... I wanted to bottle the eucalyptus and coconut and bring it home with me. Truthfully, my asthma was so flared from visiting the other smoke filled hotels. We booked a night at Caesar's Palace to see Cher - a non smoking room and it wreaked of old stale smoke. I couldn't wait to return to Mandalay Bay the next day. It was 54 degrees that week and we spent almost everyday on the beach. Yes, it was beautiful. Came home with an amazing tan. Relaxed, read a book and enjoyed every soothing moment of it.
Dined out every night and enjoyed most of the restaurants. Our favorite was the Cafe-food was great, service excellent and price worth paying. The chef really knew how to inspire the tastebuds. Dined at the Rumbajungle and really enjoyed the food and service. StripSteak was was overpriced and it is almost a smack in your face when sends out a snack treat of french fries with sauces... Think it would of have been more appropriate to have sliced vegetable.
Don't plan on working out unless you want to pay for it. The spa and fitness center is amazing however, you will pay deerly.

Beautiful. Very clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were on the 15th floor with a fantastic view of Las Vegas Blvd. I could lay in my bed and see Paris from my window! The weather did not cooperate for us to use the pools, but we checked them out and they looked great.

In short-beautiful accomodations with some dissappointments. I travel frequently and stay in a range of hotels, that is mostly on the nicer side of that range. Comparing Mandalay Bay to the typical Hilton, Marriott, or (my favorite) Embassy; Mandalay is georgous. Easily one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in, and our's was a basic room. Spacious, super comfortable bed, true HD tv, and a bath that was extraordinary. Dual siinks, separate tub and walk-in shower, private privy :-) and tv and phone to boot! Of course, like so many hotels on the Vegas strip, the entire facility was over-the-top, in a very good way. Many restaurants, shops, and of course gambling. All beautiful beyond expectation. A wave pool with a sandy beach and two (I beilieve) other pools as well. Now the flip-side, and as this was my first trip to Vegas perhaps the same is true of all properties on the strip, that I don't know. My primary complaint is that there was a charge for every little extra, that most current properties include in your stay. No internet access, not just in your room but not even a business center to go and check your email or print your boarding pass. Want to use a fitness center? Extra charge! Like the use of a fridge in your room? $20 per day. There is a fridge in the room stocked with beverages, remove an item, even to look, you will be billed. If you are gambling you drink for free, but the bargain ends there. A domestic beer out by the wave pool costs you $7.00, more for mixed drinks! During our stay hot tubs and two other pools were closed?? Still, our price was good & property is beautiful a love hate visit!

We were not there even a whole day but I wish we could of stayed longer to enjoy the room and the view more. It was a very impressive room and the service was great. I will stay there again when I'm in Las Vegas.

This hotel surpassed my expectation for the price. It was beautiful inside and out, the room was just perfect. The staff and amenities were great. I would definitely book this hotel again for my next trip.

I just returned and I have nothing but good things to say. The hotel was clean, smelled great and so were the rooms. I did not have a good view but I did not care too much about the view the hotel was good overall. The only thing I found a little displeasing was the little refrigerator it cost an arm and a leg to eat anything out of there and to put things in. I most WARN anyone who tries to put water in there that these refrigerators are weight sensitive so if you put a bottle of water to cool in it you will be charged for that. While on my trip I walked into a bunch of hotel and I must say Mandalay, Bellagio, and The Hotel and were some of the top notch ones. But all in all the hotel is worth every penny it costs to stay there and so are the resturants.

Positive Comments First:I enjoyed the quieter atmosphere that Mandalay Bay's location provides. The casino is spacious and elegant and the staff are always friendly. The Deluxe room- was comfortable and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable. Room service, however, was lacking. I didn't get my room cleaned until the third and last day I was there... I could have called but I just kept assuming they would come do it. Negative:The pool complex was closed- entirely. I am not sure why and received conflicting answers when i asked various staff. One staff person said that they were saving money in the bad economy by closing the pool facilities. Others said it was out of season. I asked if the pools are heated and they said yes. It was in the 60-70s when I visited and I chose Mandalay for the pool facilities. I would have stayed elsewhere had I known and did not think to ask if the pool would be open since it is one of Mandalay's major attractions. This was very disappointing. The sushi at the sushi stand in the casino (can't remember name) was insipid at best. Unfortunately it was also expensive. Won't do that again. I wouldn't mind expensive if the quality warranted it.While I am not usually a fan of the Buffet, I did try the buffet at Mandalay and was confirmed in my dislike of buffet dining. Food was not horrible- just ok. Room service, mini bar, drinks and dining were all EXPENSIVE! This was not too surprising as I expected it, however, in this economy, there should be some marketing incentives to be found.Overall, this was a mediocre trip. Will try somewhere else next time.

The rooms were fabulous and the rate we got on them was AMAZING. The shops were great, the restaurant and lounge variety was wonderful - they had a little bit of practically everything. Since we went in February, I didn't get a chance to try out the beach and there was no time for the spa so I can't discuss those. I picked this hotel because of the rooms and because it was on the end of the strip so, if we wanted to, we could get away from the hustle and bustle for a couple of hours - the only problem with that (and, really, the only problem with the whole vacation) is that the tram that runs from the Mandalay Bay back into the center of the strip was broken so we ended up having to take the Deuce (bus shuttle) and that wasn't as reliable as one would hope.
