The dinning and service are top notch. The beds feel great. The over sized tub was a nice feature. Rent a boat its a blast.Errors with front desk and room service room doors shutting, this could be a spoiler. As regular 2-4 day get lawyers. The Loews Coronado Bay Resort is gem to shared with all who love our San Diego Bay. Being San Diego Raised, we prefer to take advantage of our local digs and amenities. Great food. Fresh seafood works for me every time. While my wife is the complete opposite and loved the Mistral at Loews Coronado Bay Resort & Spa. Try renting a boat as we did and see the sights from a awesome perspective! We loved IT! To be fare there were issues with Our room services Wendy a manager used it as a training opportunity and I trust such actions will be tighten down! Personally, I would give Loews Coronado Bay resort a 8 on my 1 - 10 meter. I expect to rent a larger boat and a 10 for Loews Coronado bay resort. Ummm You can't go wrong here !

Convenience, comfort, friendliness, romantic setting.Must have a car to gain access to San Diego. Wonderful hotel with superior service, in a nice location. There is no transportation after 5 p.m. to or from Coronado and no transportation to San Diego. Unless you have a car, this is not a good location to access San Diego for a convention or meeting. Family-friendly but expensive. A charge applies for the use of the gym facility.

Paid parking is a given in Coronado. I like the fact that each wing of the hotel has their own parking area and elevator. Made it easy to come and.Jacuzzi was filthy. When the whirlpool was off, you could see grunge on the bottom. I would be worried about hygiene. I knew the location would be a couple of miles from Downtown Coronado and I wanted it that way. I liked the security, couldn't get on the property unless you had a key. Close proximity of parking to your room/wing. Twice we came back in the late afternoon and our room had still not been attended to. Room service was very quick with excellent presentation. All staff we encountered were extremely courteous and helpful. Parking on the weekend was hard to find due to the many functions that were scheduled at the hotel. Overall, I liked our experience and stay for 6 days. Excellent value for what we paid. Would definitely stay there again.

Too much to state. It was for my honeymoon and I was pretty excited when I saw the Loews Coronado Bay Resort. This is one resort who's reputation precedes it and they didn't disappoint. After the wedding, we arrived (still in our wedding attire). The folks at the front desk congratulated us and since they were experiencing a low volume, they gave us the best room in the house. I didn't think much of it because even their lowest of rooms was still nicer than most, and it wouldn't take much to fool me. Let's just say that when we arrived in our room, it was anything but ordinary and quite extraordinary. I wish we would have had more time to explore those but we had other things planned and they needed at least 24 hours notice for most services. The room had a large marble entryway, two bathrooms, a large dining area, huge living room with a grand piano, bar, huge master bath with whirlpool bath and two person shower, huge bedroom and three balconies (at about 1800 sqft). I'll be telling my grandkids about this one.

Staff very friendly and always willing

Staff very friendly and always willing to help out/go the extra mile.No bike rack. Hotels beds (when 2 in a room) not king size. Please do not consider this hotel if your goal is to be in downtown San Diego. You will be frustrated and disappointed. However, you will love this hotel if you are looking for a getaway. The hotel is situated on a spit of land about 5 miles below Coronado Island. It is directly across from a great beach which, at low tide, is known for depositing hundreds of unbroken sand dollars. (You can walk there, or the staff will drive you there in a golf cart, and provide chairs/towels/boogie boards). The hotel itself has 3 pools for swimming: adult, kids, and family. The hotel is made up of 5 separate buildings: the main one, where the lobby, restaurants, etc. are, and then the 4 for guest rooms. The building closest to the lobby is building 1. If you are on the 3rd floor of building 1, your room number will be something like 13**. If you are in the 5th building, 2nd floor, your room number will be 52** and so on. Half the buildings face the bay/ocean, the others face the 3 pools and the Marina (where you can rent bikes, paddle boats and even kayaks). If you want to go into Coronado, you can either ride your bike along a bike path (next to the beach) or drive the 5 miles. Coronado Island itself is great for family bikes rides, with wonderful, non-chain little shops and very good food. We found the staff at this hotel to be incredibly helpful, always volunteering to do something for you, always responding promptly to a problem (we had a burned out light bulb in our bathroom). The bathrooms are all beautifully remodeled, and you could practically go scuba diving in the tub. Housekeeping will gladly provide you with as much bubble bath as you need! I was here as a family of 4, with 2 kids ages 9 and 11. We had a great time. However, it was always our goal to come to Coronado and stay there. If you came with the idea of going to the zoo/Sea World, etc. you might be a little frustrated at the 15-20 minute drive to get 'off island'.

The location was great and the room was great, real down comforters!$19.00 parking fee. My stay at this place was excellent overall. The overall atmostphere was nice. The staff was very fast about bringing extra towels or supplies needed. The place seems a little dated, but everything was clean and neat. The Huge tub was great, especially for a guy my size (6'3"). Everything overall was great. Although I loved the down filled everything (blankets, pillows, comforter) it ended up being too hot for me. haha. I ended up throwing most of them off me. The TV was a widescreen digital TV, but the quality of the picture was junk. So don't plan on watching TV here really. The lobby and reception area was really nice. Lots of space to just lounge around and have a chat. Three pools provided enough area to go and take a swim. I was there Satarday, Sunday, so I was able to enjoy the Sunday Champange Bunch. It was very delicious and I really have to complement the staff. They were extremely courteous and were constantly checking on us, topping off our coffee and marmosat. I never saw close to the bottom of the glass no matter how fast I tried to drink them. The food was excellent too. Wide variety of things to enjoy, many made fresh right in front of you, like the hand made corn tortillas for the Mahi-mahi tacos you build yourself. This place is great for a nice little romantic getaway, which is exactly what we had.
