I stayed with a group of 40 people in Jan. 09. We found
the hotel good, helpful service, great buffets (try traveling
with vegans to meat loving men), clean, with a good atm
and banking service. One thing--if you are booked near
construction,

Good rooms, good food, and near the Pyramids

Le Meridien Pyramids is out-of-town, but conveniently situated for those attracted to the Pyramids area. It offers a range of good eating places, and has clean and comfortable rooms. For more style though the more traditional Mina House Oberoi (opened in 1869) is just a short walk away, and thus gives one the opportunity to diversify a bit during a longer stay.

Comfortable living in Cairo

Le Meridian Pyramids Hotel is located on El Remaya Square in Cairo, right across the street from the Pyramids of Giza. Imagine eating breakfast with 4700-year old pyramids as your view! There is high security with barriers and sniffer-dogs at the entrance.

Once inside, flamingos feed on lily-pads in the pond. One restaurant overlooks the pool. All of the restaurants have delicious buffets overflowing with Middle Eastern fruits, vegetables and meats. This is a full-service hotel with shops, salons, computers and a bank. Best of all, the male room attendants are friendly, courteous, and full of hospitality. This is a clean, pleasant, first-class hotel.

Imagine looking out of your hotel window and seeing the Pyramids of Giza across the street! The oldest pyramids in the world are right in the heart of Cairo! The amenities of the hotel are excellent--shops, a bank and ATM, delicious all-you-can-eat buffets, computers, fax, and international phone service.

Absolutely fantastic!

We were lucky

Absolutely fantastic!

We were lucky enough to have a suite whilst staying here, it was fantastic. Spacious, clean with every little details attended to.

The whole hotel had a classy feel to it and the staff was superb and made us feel very important and well looked after.

The pool area was lovely with a free form pool and swim up bar with views of the pyramids. The service extended here also, with out towels being carried to chosen sunbeds and laid out for us!

The food in the evening was very pleasant for a buffet menu, breakfast unfortunately was not up to quite the same standard, but edible nonetheless.

The location was fairly central but once inside the hotel you could be a world away, with of course the added bonus of having the pyramids as a most spectacular backdrop.
