Awful!

I actually did not stay at the hotel myself, but rather made reservations for my parents, who were in town visiting me. I am embarrassed to have made the reservation for them, and will never again make reservations at that particular location, and possibly for the chain generally. I would definitely choose one of the other similarly priced hotels downtown, or even drive out to West Little Rock rather than stay at the La Quinta.

The first night, they only had one washcloth, and the remote control didn't work. They called the front desk, and *crickets*. No response whatsoever. The problem was not addressed until they talked to the housekeeper the next morning.

The second night, there were no towels AT ALL. They had nothing to drink out of. No glasses, no coffee cups. My mother took her evening pill by drinking cold coffee out of the carafe of the coffee maker, which should have theoretically been cleaned when the room was cleaned, except that the room wasn't cleaned. It was also at this point that they discussed their issues with the manager.

The third night, there were at least towels, but there was only one coffee cup for both of my parents.

The only good part about the stay was the fact that my parents didn't pay for the first two nights, and so when the price of one night was spread out over 3, it was more reasonable. That said, hotels are supposed to have basic things like towels.

Do not stay here...

This Hotel is an older hotel that has the Clarion name. I routinely stay at choice hotels(the brand) and am disappointed with this hotel. My room had a bad odor and a loud, old AC unit.

My car and two others were broken into in their "patrolled" parking garage that seems to be a free parking garage for all of Little Rock. The folks at the glass repair shop two blocks down were not surprised as they have regular business from this hotel's garage.

When I went to the front desk to call the police, the front desk staff person told me that she would call the police in a minute. Her supervisor came out and said that the person on the phone was important(obviously more important that the customer standing right in front of her.) and it was the only phone that could dial the police.

She then got 3 more employees and they circled around me which made the situation worse. All this could have been avoided if the employee would have made the call when requested.

Of course, they are always right, it's their show. As a customer, the only way that I can get their attention is to post this review. They certainly didn't care that my car was broken into.

I still wonder where that security guard that they said patrolled the garage all night was?

Check in was very easy. Room was very small. Carpet was very dirty, had stains. In not so safe location, one block from a blood bank, Crackhead were walking in and out of hotel at all times of day. Stayed there with my children and husband, didn't feel very safe. There was no cable at all! Had read on other review that the cable had been out 4 months prior thought for sure that it would have been restored but had not. Received a discounted price, since my son was a Arkansas Childrens Hospital patient was not worth the price even with discount.

The personnel at the hotel were very friendly and helpful at the front desk. The hotel didn't seem to have many occupants but that was okay.

The hotel is nice, as in it has the basics, it looks as though there has been some updates made as far as light fixutres and the rooms have flat screen tvs. The stay was pleasant. The hotel workers were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for dinner and things to do. The room was very nice, and was located in downtown w/in walking distance( about 4 blocks) to the main drag of the Riverwalk area in downtown. Parked cars in parking garage...the pool area is small and no sun hits it since it is a 6 or 7 story building, but wasn't there for the pool. Never ate at the resteruant or bar located inside...never looked open??? If I had to go back to Little Rock, I would stay here again.
