While the staff did claim to spray inside and out after my complaint, I still found (and killed) as many ants "after spraying" as I did before I complained. I did not demand another room, nor was one offered. A minor annoyance was the fact that there was no ice machine on my floor, and had to go to another floor to access ice and/or snacks. Not exactly convenient. I do not share the opinions of the other reviewers. There was a girls basketball event going on so the whole hotel was full of screaming teenage girls. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't keep running down the halls and slamming doors all night. I stayed here because: free internet, free breakfast, free parking, easy freeway access, quiet rooms, friendly staff. If you need a room in Salem/Roanoke this is a great place to stay. Its not fancy like the Hotel Roanoke, but it costs half as much, and has everything you need for free.
