Upon my leaving the next day I expressly told the clerk not to charge the card, and I paid cash. She went ahead and charged the card. Double whammy to my checking account. I checked with my bank via phone and was told that yes indeed it did post and would be debited from account. I gave this information to the desk clerk, who proceeded to tell me that no it was not charged and continued to argue with me. She made no effort to check with my bank (as I suggested and the bank rep on the phone) .She did not.. I finally gave up in exhaustion and ate the financial loss. On a different note, terrible water pressure in bath room facilities.. No complimentary items left there. had to ask ans waited 3 hours to get shampoo. It goes on and on.. Watch your money.. and stay away.. I loved the idea of windows you could open in your room, but they need screens, and fly swatters. In the hotels commits of what they offer was Free Newspaper. This should be taken out, because this was not true, we had to buy our paper. Also, they ran out of coffee packets and filters for the rooms, so you had to go to the lobby and get coffee. The ice machines would only work once with the use of your room key card.
