I went to San Diego on business and was fortunate enough to stay in La Jolla. My business partner and I stayed at this hotel, the La Jolla Inn and the experience couldn't have been nicer. They have these cookies they serve every afternoon in their library that they're so good their contagious. I read some reviews on this hotel and I've gotta say the negative reviews are just down right aweful. They make it sound that the hotel parking is in siberia! It's just a couple of blocks from the hotel and it's FREE! Other hotels I looked at in La Jolla wanted to charge us a minimum of $15 per night! I don't understand how some people can get so bent out of shape when I had such a wonderful experience. I recommend that you stay at this hotel if you come out to San Diego. La Jolla Inn has everything you need. Location, price, friendly service, clean comfortable rooms. It was great! By chance I met a wonderful guy on the terrace of this hotel and we still keep in touch. He and his friends joined my group of friends and we made the most of our time. We kayaked which was awesome and I highly recommend! We rented our kayaks from La Jolla Kayak and their located in the shores of La Jolla. Make sure to kayak in some of the caves it's so cool. If you get a chance check out a french bistro called French 101. The La Jolla Inn was just as described. They DO have the best location in La Jolla! They do have a very nice FREE breakfast. The staff was good but I believe they had a new hire checking us in but we didn't have a problem. The hotel parking is FREE but it's just as described a couple of blocks away but so what. Some of the reviews we read on this hotel was treated so unfairly it seems. If it's FREE who cares? If they had charged then that's a different story. You need to check out some of the art galleries in the area.
