I live and work on the island but my girlfriend doesn't, which makes for a frustrating situation. However, it does allow for frequent romantic "getaways." As I haven't gotten a real paycheck yet, we were doing things cheaply, so we had a pizza at Go

Those who miss Granma's house, look no further;the Hotel Iroquok is for you! From hospital corners on the bed to the doddering, old ,spinster aunt in the dining room...this place has it all.Miss Mary Kay,(the owner/operator),was never remiss in her attentions, from making sure our tea cozies were just so to checking our silverware for spots. Just darling. Our waiter proudly proclaimed the food was the "Best on the Island!" We all agreed after sampling simple dishes with generous portions. No suprise to learn our"chef" learned his tricks right here on Mackinaw from local housewives who really "know" how to please their man.Highly reccomend to families on a budget or anyone who doesn't expect or need all the bells and whistles

Me and the boys got sidetracked last summer and ended up here which turned out awright.Barmaid kept the beer comin' fast and furious,an' knew the color of money;(didn't say a word when me and Knuckles stepped out on the patio to share a few puffs.)The old broad that runs the joint is salty as hell, but once she figgered out which way the juice was flowin' she stood us a couple rounds and told a few lies of her own.Yessir, she mighta' been high milage but you could tell she could still kick it to start!Just goes to show;you can take the girl outta' the trailer court...Anyways,that's all there is and there ain't no more;cold beer, good eats, and a barmaid that's easy on the eyes.Man can't ask for more 'ceptin' tight shoes and a warm place to....

The hotel itself is a thing of beauty, service was excellent, food was O.K..The dining room has an awesome view,(fuul moonrise over the lake),more than enough compensation for mediocre cuisine.Stick with the appetizers;you won't pay as much for dressed up Denny's entrees.I own and operate a restaurant in San Diego so maybe my standards are somewhat higher than most midwesterners,(which seem to be the majority of the guests but still, not bad just not great...Totally O.K.

It's beautiful inside and out;my family really liked the fact the food is just like home cooking...a little pricey for something out of a can,but overall good solid mid-Michigan grub.Like you'd get at the Elk's Club,or a biker bar.All this place lacks is Strohs on tap and fish-net stockings on the waitresses.

The Iroquois has some of the best meals on the island. This is a high end restaurant that is more than worth the price and the hotel has a fantastic view of the lake. Beautiful doesn't begin to describe the view or the premises.

My Fiancé and I went to Mackinac Island in Aug 2008 and we stayed in 3 different hotels on and off the Island and the Iroquois Hotel was the best one ever! We had The Tower Suite with the 14 amazing windows! That is the best room! If you haven't stayed in that room yet I think you should!!
