Located with a view of the harbor, next to a large retail center and easy access to the rail system and Japan. There are many other new and modern retail stores walking distance. The lobby is impressive, and the view from some of the rooms is probably one of the best in Japan (though you'll have to pay extra to get it). The location, it depends on what you're into. The Minato Mirai 21 area is really cool during the day. Very futuristic, and nice to walk around. But the place pretty much shuts down at 10pm. You won't find many bars or late night restaurants, so you may be stuck eating at the hotel. Trains in the area only run to about midnight. It was clean, and service was OK (I tried to call the front desk once, but nobody answered the phone). The linens in my 'superior' room were quite frankly ugly and dated. After staying at nicer, more modern hotels, that type of thing really stands out. Wireless internet is free, but I couldn't get a connection from inside my room. I had to bring my laptop out to the hallway to use it (and the antenna was right outside my door). There are better hotels in the Minato Mirai 21 area for around the same price. It provides scenic views of the harbor and city sky line. Shopping or restaurant needs are easily met, as there are a number of shopping areas and restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. They are very flexible on reservations changes. A bus runs directly from Narita to the hotel door. Every room has wireless LAN. The add ons are very expensive - beers run 1000 yen per drink, 2800 yen per visit to the fitness center, they canceled the shuttle bus and the rooms should be cleaner. We paid $10 more/night to get the bay view, & it was worth it! 1) Room was spacious, clean & comfortable. Toiletries provided were thoughtful. Included bath salts for luxuriating in the deep bathtub; & a scrungee with the shower cap; and more. 2) Staff was hospitable & attentive. 3) Convenient access, connected by sheltered walkways to and from the train station.
