Very nice hotel. The breakfast was really good, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
There was a bit of noise from our upstairs neighbors though. It was just normal comings and goings,

Almost perfect

This is an outstanding boutique hotel- from the staff to the accomodations. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away- this is it. Only one small complaint (thus no "excellent" rating)- the property next door was renovating their driveway. This hotel is in downtown Santa Barbara, which means it is sandwiched between buildings. The noise was horrendous. Though the staff was apologetic, they only half-heartedly offered a "couple of glasses of wine to relax you". After encountering traffic on the way in, I had looked forward to soothing my migraine by relaxing in the soaking tub (very nice), only to have what sounded like a front loader IN MY ROOM. A couple of glasses of wine were a joke. I would have expected more of an effort from a hotel of this calibur. They did not work on the driveway the next day, so I didn't say anything. But the grounds are lovely, the rooms are impeccable, and other than the one quirk, the staff was very helpful.
One other thing- no room service, and you have to get ice from the staff.

I've stayed at the Four Seasons in Santa Barbara and was so happy to find this wonderful boutique hotel (which I enjoyed more). Clean rooms are so wonderfully arranged, the service was great. It is a boutique hotel, but certainly feels high-end. It reflects the spirit of Santa Barbara, a casual elegance. I recommend this hotel highly, I am so sad I haven't been back as often as I would have liked!

What a fantastic time I had in Santa Barbara...it was a visit I will never forget and I highly recommend it....particularly for shopping enthusiasts and/or a romantic getaway. The halibut was out of this world not to mention the beaches, the mountains and the vineyards.

I have spent the past two weeks at the Inn during a project for work. Going back to my room in the evenings was a real pleasure. Everything is beautifully decorated and maintained. Everyone is as helpful as anyone could hope for. The bed and linens are incredibly luxurious. I'm looking forward to going back for a non-working stay.

Very special boutique hotel!

We stayed here for a couple of nights for a weekend getaway. Inn at the Spanish Garden was the top rated hotel in Santa Barbara according to TripAdvisor so we knew we had to check it out. It is a very small but charming boutique hotel on a quiet, residential feeling street. Free parking under the hotel. Our room was beautiful and well appointed. There was music playing when we walked in which was incredibly nice. Each room feels like an apartment or a guesthouse. Not like a hotel. Very nice feeling.

Complimentary buffet breakfast if you get up early enough (and it was really good!). The front desk always had fresh baked cookies that we would grab on our way in and out. We got a message that we could get lemonade and cookies delivered to us as a welcome gift but we didn't take the staff up on that offer. Walking distance to everything, a car was definitely not needed. Soooo nice! I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for peace and quiet in Santa Barbara.

This hotel was amazing. The staff here, especially those at the front desk, were extremely friendly and courteous. They made my stay even better. The bed was nice. The hotel is beautiful and well-decorated. It is located in a convenient location in downtown Santa Barbara. Parking was a little difficult, but the hotel was pretty easy to find. While the hotel is small, it is definitely luxurious. There were lots of amenities here. Great hotel, overall.
