A few months ago it was shut down due to roach problems and had lots of violations. In fact, it had almost 20 violations and was most likely the restaurant with the most violations in Highlands county. The ones we used were very small, thin and scratchy. A dead-giveaway when you're trying to be a first class hotel. Such a shame when everything else is so good. The garden and pool area is beautiful, service folks very friendly, and we loved the fact that it is a dog-friendly hotel. Our small dogs loved running along the lakeside in the early morning and visiting the resident cats who live near the back parking lot. The have the best service that you can get in Sebring. The place is nice and clean. The restaurant is cozy and has good meals (and at good rates). My wife and I travel a lot and can be fussy. This hotel was quite a find, a very pleasant surprise for the area. Has a hint (a hint)of a 4 star hotel atmosphere in a 2 star area. We were pleased with the food, the service and the room. It is not a typical hotel/motel. Has it's own character and for the price a pleasant experience.
