The only thing going for the IP is the location. But, I will never stay here again. It may be among the cheaper places on the strip, but there's a reason! I had two rooms, one in the main tower at more expensive price and one in the outer building. The main tower room was filthy - water stained wallpaper, stained carpet, dirty bathroom. The outer building room, was actually nicer but that's not saying much. Housekeeping (if you could call it that) was terrible - they didn't even appear the first day. We checked in late at night and it took 40 minutes! There were only two clerks checking people in and you'd think with advance booking it would be a snap. It wasn't - long lines and slow service. The casino is dirty and cramped, the restaurants are sub-par. The IP should be closed, demolished, and something better (like a parking lot) built in it's place.

We enjoyed ourselves and the only thing that wasn,'t perfect was that the elevators were real slow but we had time enough to enjoy our stay. The people were real friendly and since my wife is totally blind they were very helpful and made our stay great. We are thinking of going back in March to spend our 45th anniversary there.

For traveling on a budget, this hotel met all my needs. Great location, clean room comfy bed. Plenty bath towels. Hotel is huge though, and finding my room was a challenge. I asked a passing security guard to help me and he was very nice and helped me. I would stay there again.

My son bought a wedding package at Planet Hollywood in July 2008, which includes the ceremony at the chapel, dinner , and a room with a fantastic view for 2 nights. He and His wife wanted to spent 4 more nights in Vagas. He decided to spent the extra nights at Imperial Palace because of the location and low room rate. That way they could save the money on hotel and spent it on other wonderful entertainments. The rooms were and service were very good. When they wanted to change rooms because of the noise. It was done fast with no hastle. All our relatives and friends stay there too. They all were very happy. When you are on vacation, you spent most of your time outside the hotel rooms. Imperial Place is a perfect choice.

I booked three rooms back in March for our Honeymoon as we were coming to Vegas to get married. We were bring our Uncle who is disabled, I was assured they could accommodate us with rooms. When we checked in it was a joke the rooms were all the way outside the building. Our Uncle could not even walk there, we are for something close, at least two rooms that connect and a refrigerator as he has medication. I went back to the front desk and was advised I could only get two rooms in side the hotel and I would be charged a cancellation fee for the third room as well as additional upgrade fees per night and additional people in the room fees. I asked for a sup one never came, I was advised they would night charge us for the third room and gave us two rooms in the hotel. We then had to change one of the rooms as it was filthy and stinky like cat pee. The elevators took 20 minutes to get to the third floor where we were staying. This was our first tip to Vegas as well as our Honeymoon and I feel it was horrible! We will not be staying there ever again!

For me, a hotel is a place to sleep at night, relax during the day, if you need that, and to take showers and change clothes. My room at the Imperial was perfect for that. I was only there for 48 hours, so I knew I was not going to be spending tons of time in it. It was clean, neat, and had all the things I need. Nothing fancy, but better than say a motel six or a super 8. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I am not a big traveler, so I don't have a lot to comparre to, but this was a good experience.

room was clean and neat, quiet, the only issue i encountered was getting lost, but once i knew my way around, i loved it. the dealertainers were my favorite part. great central location, right on the monorail. will definately stay again. i passed through some hallways that were being ripped up, so they are updating, and i think our room was already updated. our plane came in at 8 am, and check in was not until 4 pm, but they checked our luggage, pre- checked us in, and by 2 pm we had our keys and they sent our luggage up. never had to wait more than 5 mins. in line. seemed very efficient and friendly.

We have stayed at the IP many times. The rooms have definitely been upgraded since we were there last. Not as grungy.

We booked our trip well in advance and when we checked in we were told that the only non-smoking rooms available were overlooking the band playing between IP and Harrahs - that if it was too noisy we could change in the morning. We moved into the room and it was unbearable - there was no way we could have stayed in that room - the sliding door was shaking!! We called the front desk for a room change and I must say the woman was REALLY rude - that lots of people stay in those rooms with NO COMPLAINT. Really? If no complaints - why were we warned?

We asked to be moved and she said - that it was cost us $40 - only the LuvTub Rooms were available. She was really rude and we had to pay the $40 to move. Bit of a scam...

Other that that - the Bell Desk guys were great - the cleaning staff was great - brought us an extra pillow right away. The buffet isn't the greatest - walk next door to Flavors at Harrah's.

Hey, you get what you pay for....but we won't stay there again.

The worst place I ever stayed, don't stay here

It was my wedding day, I and my husband arranged to check in around noon, so we could ready for our wedding. When we walked into lobby it looked like a cattle ranch with corrals and shoots to run the cattle around, The place was filthy, we went up to the check in and was told they knew nothing about an early check and told us that we would have to come back at 4p, our wedding was at 6p, we needed showers and time to get ready. I asked where we could put our luggage, we we told to leave it on the sidewalk outside in the rain and they watch it. I said that was unaceptable, so I told carry it around with us til the room was ready. We finally got into our room about 4:15p. They room was acceptable. After our wedding, we had roomservice, the waiter brought our food and beverages in and promptly broke the glassware, and said "oops" and left leaving broken glass everywhere, we called and complained, they sent housekeeping up, reluctantly, two hours later they finished. The next morning I went down to desk and demanded compensation for the mishap and poor service. I was offered a cheap bottle of champaigne and tickets to breakfast buffet, when I explained I was allergic to wine and champaigne, I told too bad, No new room, nothing. The staff were rude the entire time We stayed unfortunately we could not change hotels or we would have. I recommend you stay anywhere but here, they have no idea how to treat customers with respect. Don't Stay Here Ever!!!!!! The one I wish I had done we spent just a few dollars more and stay somewhere else
