The air condition took 2-3 hours to cool the room. The bathroom fixtures were old; I have not seen a tube that large since the 1950s-60s. The sheets did not fit. The one chair in the room was heavily stained. Commerce, Ga. was just over the state line, so we picked the city that I knew of from the Olive Ann Burns novel, "Cold Sassy Tree" for a rest. The town was clean and friendly, as was the hotel. The beds and pillows were heavenly. We found the HoJo staff very helpful. The room was clean and well stocked with towels, coffee pot and coffee. The pool area was small but clean and there were plenty of chaise lounges and tables. There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant next door as well as a Starbuck's across the street and a McDonalds and Burger King are within a stone's throw. It was a perfect place to rest from a long day's drive and recharge our batteries.! I will probably stay there again on my way back to pick my daughter up from camp.
