The room was comfortable and quite. I liked it because it was a quick in & out off the turnpike. Door in back of building, next to highway didn't lock or even shut. Screens were torn. Rooms and hallways were dirty. We were there 30 minutes and saw roach crawl from under bed, after which, we checked out imediately. When we told the front desk, they didn't seem surprised and gave no appology. This is not what I would expect from a Howard Johnson hotel. Hotel is VERY hard to find- in the middle of nowhere. Location reminded me of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Only thing around is truck stops (gas, parts, parking lots for semis). Even for so cheap, hotel was sub-standard. No fitted sheet on bed (just a flat one!), dirty, dark, & less channels than they say. & they advertise for pizza places that won't deliver "all the way out there." Had to get back on highway and drive miles away to find food.
