We check in at 3 o'clock p.M. And rushed out to see a family member and came back at 11:00 pm. So tired that we went to bed right away but unfortunately we were not able to sleep because there are bed bugs plus the beddings are dirty and sandy (you can tell that someone slept on it already and the hoesekeeping just fix it a bit). We reported it to the front desk and to the manager we didn't even heard an apology for that. We are always in niagara falls area but won't check in to this hotel again. We're so disappointed that when we go to other places we won't even try to book or check in with another howard johnson hotel because it seems we developed a howard johnson phobia after that disgusting experience. I hope the top management of howard johnson will see to it that the housekeeping and customer service will be the top priorities of running a business like this.

The room was very inadequate. Sheets were stained and there was hair in the bed. The wallpaper was peeling and behind it was black mold. The hallways were very dirty and the building was in bad repair.

The staff would not refund our money when requested. We ended up spending the night in a different hotel. Very disappointed and will not be recommended to others.

Nice large room and great location. Able to walk to nearby attractions & casino (about 3 blocks). Front desk very friendly and housekeeping staff quite accomodating. Morning continental breakfast was small, but staff very nice. There was several dogs on site during our stay. Not a problem for us, but might be for some. Did not realize until after the reservation was made, that there was an extra fee of $15.00 a night for the 2nd person, which I thought was unusual. Would definitely stay again .......

Shame on those that gave such awful reviews! We were greeted by very, friendly and helpful people that went out of their way to make our stay a good one. This hotel has a very nice pool, clean comfortable rooms and a very adequate continental breakfast. We walked to the falls every day of our stay. Its not the Ritz, no one puts a chocolate on your pillow or makes funny little animals with the towels....but its not a dive either. Its family and wallet friendly, leaving more money to be spent on the attractions nearby, which to us is the reason we go on vacation. We go to see the sites, not the hotel! We will definitely stay again on the next trip.

The rooms have just recently been

The rooms have just recently been remodeled. and they are very nice. the maids service is very good. anything you need they are good to get it for you. the only thing i found wrong with the hotel was that the pool has steps into it and it goes to 4 feet on the steps and then it goes to 5 feet and then reclines down. the only thing is i am a short person so i could not go into the 5 ft. area cause that is where the swimming starts, but if you are a good swimmer that is ok, but i am ok swimmer but not the best to trust myself to go deeper water. wished the pool had more of a 4 ft section. the people that work there are very nice and the accomadations are nice. thereis newly airconditioners and heat all in one so you can adjust it yourself. it was a nice stay. i had a hard bed but i also have back problems. but the person who went with me did not have a problem and well niagara falls on the american side is not that run down and there was plenty of places to eat. so that wasnt a problem. i have to say there was remodeling going on in the rooms that were vacant, but they are very quiet as to being very noisy. they were great there. they are remodeling and it is looking very nice there. no problems with our stay was worth the money. we had a beautiful view and that was nice too. they even had a refrigerator for us coffee pot and microwave. it was nice. and continental breakfast was good too.hope this helps.ihadreservations about booking this but i am glad i did.

First of all, if your planning on

First of all, if your planning on visiting Niagara falls, do not stay on the American side. Nearly all of the attractions, and best views of the falls are on the Canadian side. We found ourselves driving over the bridge to Canada everyday to enjoy the activities, restaurants, etc. Each time that you do that, you have to go through customs agents who question you quite a bit. The American side is also very run-down. Many of the areas around the hotel do not feel safe. On the otherhand, we did not see any bad areas in Canada. The hotel itself is in very bad need of remodeling. I hate to say it, but it really is a dump. On the positive side, they do have free guest parking and the free continental breakfast is decent.

Our room is clean- no bugs or spiders. There is a lifeguard at the pool. The maid is very friendly. Woman in gift shop was very helpful.
Hotel is old. Breakfast room is way too small and there is not much selection. Elevator is small and dirty. Front desk staff not very helpful.
So far- 2nd day here.

The hotel itself is very nice but if your planning on using their pool, call ahead. I say that because their pool is closed until 6:30pm due to water aerobics and swimming lessons. I wish I had known that. Traveling with my two toddlers all they wanted was to go swimming and lo and behold the pool was always closed to guests. Unfair, as paying guests we should have had access to the pool from 9:00am until 10pm but it was from 6:30pm until 10pm. This may only be due to us traveling during the off season but it's stll not right.

The hotel room was not really clean. There was dust on the dresser drawers. It was not worth what we paid.
