The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The shuttle drivers saved us the headache of parking/driving and made good recommendations for restaurants, etc. Only down side was the bed was small. If you're used to a king-size bed, you're going to feel really squeezed. We booked four rooms and found that some rooms had just a coffee maker, some had a c.m. and a microwave, some had the c.m., microwave AND a mini-fridge.

The staff has no idea what they are doing. They overbill you and can't explain what it is for. Won't resolve it until I went to ICH and got them involved. Room was noisy and smelled. Do your self a favor and stay somewhere else.

I was in town for a show at the Majestic Theatre, so I chose the Indigo mostly for its location just around the corner from the theater. I'll give the Indigo some leeway because it's located in such an old building, but suffice it to say that I was not overly impressed.

Here's what stood out to me:

- The wireless connection was extremely unreliable, which is a HUGE negative in my book.
- There were surprisingly few channels to watch in our tiny little room (the standard one-queen-bed room).
- Apparently the management didn't feel we needed more than one single cup of coffee in the morning for the two of us, as that's all they provided for the in-room coffee maker.
- For that matter, we were only provided with one keycard.
- The staff wasn't exactly rude, but not overly friendly either.
- More signage would have been nice, most notably to and from the adjacent skywalk to the parking garage across the street.
- Finally, I'm afraid I can't report on the lobby bar/restaurant, as their limited hours prevented me from ever checking it out.

All in all, the Dallas Indigo is a decent place to stay, but I'll have to give someplace else a try the next time I'm in town. The bright pastels simply weren't enough to distract me from what a mediocre place it is.

The staff was courteous and eager to

The staff was courteous and eager to accommodate our every need. There were a lot of homeless people hanging around the entrance.“For the price, this hotel is outstanding. It is outstanding! It is convenient to a lot of attractions, and they have a free shuttle that will take you almost anywhere in the city and pick you up when you are ready to come back to the hotel. The drivers are courteous and friendly and very informative about what "to and not to do" in the city. It was our 4th wedding anniversary, and I made mention of this to one of the staff when we checked in. We left for a short while and went out for some sight seeing. When we returned, to our surprise, there was a card from the hotel, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. But the most surprising thing was, in addition to the standard hotel card, there was a personal card (purchased by the employees) and signed by every member of the staff! They made our stay wonderful. I have never had such a good time on a short weekend trip! They cautioned us about the homeless people, and we were aware of the situation from reading other reviews, but, hey, this hotel in inner city! Any large city has a homeless population who gathers downtown for the benefit of the soup kitchens and charitable organizations. That just goes along with any downtown hotel. If someone doesn't want to deal with this, don't stay downtown. We were cautious but not afraid. We felt that they were harmless for the most part, but we did most of our traveling via the hotel shuttle and never even moved our car from the parking garage the entire weekend. This is a non smoking hotel and we mostly encountered the homeless outside the front lobby while we were smoking. They asked for cigarettes or a light. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and we would recommend this hotel to anyone! Well. Maybe not bill gates or Donald trump, but.”

Hardwood floors in the rooms - clean and bright.None.“The Hotel Indigo was an excellent hotel as it was decorated in bright, tropical colors. The hardwood floors in the rooms versus carpet was great - no nasty looking stains. The hotel overall was great; friendly and eager to help staff, great restaurant, and clean as a whistle.”
