Great place for a special occation

My wife and I spent the night here for our anniversiary. We would reccommend this hotel to anyone at any time. When we arrived at the hotel and told the valet our name, he congratulated us on our anniversiary. A small touch, but a very nice way to be welcomed to the hotel. Every member of the staff was equally as genuine in their desire to make our stay memorable. Live classical guitar and flights of wine in the Studio lounge made for relaxing and fun after dinner entertainment. The room was nicely furnished with a comfortable sitting area (hard to find in a hotel) and an incredible bathroom. The bed was a little too soft for our taste, but other than that, no complaints at all. We will be back and we'll be reccommending to our friends as well.

Perfect for my Honeymoon

Hi all. This place is awesome. The night of our wedding we stayed here and had an absolutely fabulous time. The only, i emphasis only complaint i have is that it was nearly impossible to get a complete view because the view rooms were already booked up. We got a partial view which was still great, but a full would have been preferred. I recommend that you book several months in advance if a view is important to you. Everything else was 5 star quality. There was construction going on at the time, but they managed this very well and it did not affect us one bit. We will without question consider this hotel for future anniversaries!

I have stayed at Hotel 1000 on two

pros: It is a beautiful , swanky, sleek and stylish hotel!!! Staff is fabulous! Love the hotel!I have stayed at Hotel 1000 on two occasions and have not only enjoyed my stay, from the time I?m greeted at the door with a smile, to the professional friendly service I receive at the front desk, from start to finish!! The rooms are beautiful and the staff is ready to assist with your individual request and love the Boka Bar and Kitchen Restaurant next to the lobby, the food is delicious!! I travel for business and stay at five star hotels and have not received the kind of service I receive from Hotel 1000!! So perhaps bridezilla was just plain out of her element? If you don?t have enough money in your debit account?then stick to a hotel? Or should I say motel that suites your pocket book!! Need I say more? moving on ... I noticed Bridezillas review on RED and I have been a client since they opened the doors!! The management has changed and it needed to, the new management, she defiantly knows what she is doing!!! The place is positive, full of energy, everyone is friendly and professional! Is it always a bad thing for a business when a artist leaves?. Hmmm? RED has always had that urban raw edge, but the place looks refreshed and beautiful!! I have referred numerous friends to RED and they loved their experience (including brides)!! Highly recommend!! Would highly recommend, 5 stars to RED and Hotel 1000!!!

AMAZING FOR A ROMANTIC GETAWAY

pros: decor and amenities, very romanticMy boyfriend and I decided to go on a romantic getaway but wanted to keep it local in Seattle. He surprised me by booking Hotel 1000. I was instantly impressed walking into the hotel with its modern asian-inspired accents. The front desk was a little reserved but still friendly. The room wasn't prepared even though we were checking in at 4pm, but she said it would only take five minutes. We had drinks at the bar in Boka, the mojito was delicious! When we went up to the room I was instantly amazed by the beautiful tub, the classical music playing, and a wonderful view of 1st avenue. They even folded the corner of the toilet paper! They really pay attention to details here! After we came back from dinner, we found our room cleaned and prepared for the night. We slept very well in the extremely comfy bed. Overall our stay was amazing and we will definitely come back!

Swanky rooms- Staff too reserved

Its no surprise that this hotel has great reviews. All the newest ammenities and really swanky rooms. Teh bathroom was incredible! However the front desk staff is not as warm or friendly as they should be. They are efficient but could use some personality. The room service for dinner was excelent though, felt guilty for eatting such fine food in our room. Would go back, but only for special occasions.

Beautiful...but bad service

pros: Beautiful! My husband and I reserved a suite at hotel 1000 about 3 months in advance for our wedding night, and we were very excited. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the customer service is not! We arrived on our wedding night late (as we should) and were asked for a credit card, unfortunately my new husband left his card at the bar (our fault clearly), the staff said they needed any card or we could not stay! They assured me they would only put $1 on my card, and we could get his card in the morning. So I gave the desk my card. The next day we got his card and they charged it the amount for the room. They had also charged my card for the room the night before (without telling me), and over drafted my account. After I spoke to them they took the amount off my card, but would not pay the overdraft fee. The following day a charge of $200 appeared on my account, over drafting it AGAIN! When I called the manager he said it was a 'smoking' fee! My husband nor I smoke and were not even around people who smoke that night! Outraged and 2 hrs away from leaving on our honeymoon, we finally got them to take the fee off, again they would not pay for the overdraft fees and did not act sorry for the situation at all. The managers were never available and the front desk staff was not helpful.. not what you want to deal with on your wedding night, when your spending $500 on a room!

Hotel Of Excellence

pros: Everything....Especially the Virtual GolfI had the chance to stay at the newest hotel on 1st Ave and I was really impressed with everything. From the staff to the quality of service that my now fiance'(He proposed at Hotel 1000 in BOKA) and I had recieved was beyond excellence. I will always stay at Hotel 1000 whenever I come into Seattle.

Where can I even begin? Your Hotel 1000

Where can I even begin? Your Hotel 1000 experience begins in the beautifully designed lobby. The staff made check-in easy and took us up to our room. It was our honeymoon and they gave us a room on the top floor overlooking downtown Seattle - gorgeous! The room has a bathtub for two that fills from the ceiling, perfect for a romantic evening in. We left for a bit and when we came back to the room they had left us a bottle of champagne and a card congratulating us on our wedding! Little touches like these are what make the hotel the classy establishment that it is.

Pros: Great views, beautiful rooms, romantic, thoughtful staff
Cons: A bit pricey but worth it for a romantic stay

I thought Hotel 1000 would be the

pros: location, beautiful roomsI thought Hotel 1000 would be the perfect place for my daughter and her husband to spend their first two "married" nights together. I made arrangements for one of the special packages--dinner at Boka, a warm bath with rose petals floating on the water, chocolate dipped strawberries, champagne. I also separately arranged for the groomsmen to enjoy the virtual golf in the hotel. I was assured that they would take excellent care of them - provide them with menus to order food and drink since this was during lunchtime while they played golf. Also, a couples massage the morning after their wedding was arranged through the spa. I confirmed everything with the hotel days prior to the reservation date. What my daughter and her husband got was a beautiful small room (it was changed from the larger room that was originally booked), strawberries and champagne, and a lovely dinner at Boka. Unfortunately, the bath was never prepared, the massage was cancelled because the hotel front desk never confirmed the appt with the spa and the guys were shown to the virtual golf room and then left alone--no menus or service. They had to go to the restaurant on their own to get food and drink. When I called the hotel to speak to the manager, Matt, he assured me that he would make sure that the missed amenities would happen the next day. The spa staff were wonderful and did reschedule the massage when I explained the situation. As for what the manager promised -- it never happened. InterestingIy I received an email survey from the hotel requesting input regarding their service. As they stated in the survey -- "All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them." So, I re-stated all that happened as well as my dissatisfaction. There was absolutely no response from the hotel. The rooms are lovely, the staff of the spa and restaurant were wonderful but there is definitely a sense of indifference on the part of the hotel staff and management.
